“Fantastic fun”

Wairere Valley Quad Bike Safaris
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Had an awesome time -thanks to Dennis and his wife for making us feel so welcome. The afternoon tea and cold drinks was such a nice touch half way through our quad bike experience. Would definitely recommend this as the views were lovely and the conversation throughout the ride was very pleasant. This was my first time on a quad bike and I felt very safe-thankyou

We were looking for a quad bike adventure ride that wasn't just muddy fields and manicured trails. We got exactly what we wanted here, a good tour of the very rugged back country of one of NZ's least touched hidden treasures. The quad bikes were all well maintained proper machines unlike some of the thrashed and worn out machines I've ridden at other places. They were also well up to the terrain which is challenging in places (also depending on weather) but easily managed with these bikes.
What you get here is a very friendly couple offering you the chance to explore their beautiful property. If you fancy a nice wind-down afterwards the Horeke tavern is great, and the Nga Wha hot pools are 35 mins away and the real deal as far as bubbling volcanic hot pools go. Worth the trip - absolutely and well worth the money

We did the 1.5 hour Safari tour with Wairere Quads and had a really great time. We were both novices having never ridden quad bikes before. Dennis was patient and very safety conscious. The bikes are very stable and easy to operate and he quickly had us doing practice circles in the paddock before heading up the mountains on safari. The tour was great, lots of different terrain and some fantastic views. Dennis knows a lot about the history of the Wairere Boulders and has some interesting theories about how they arrived in the valley. Dennis and Val were great hosts and absolutely everything was thought of and provided for including tuition, safety helmets and boiler suits and even a packed lunch! Highly recommended.
