“Great place to relax”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2014 via mobile

Wonderful place and a good place to restore oneself. Good climb on the Ruparara hill and refreshing air at the summit. Friendly and helpful staff and a relaxing environment. It is worth your visit if you want to relax in a serene environment and simply to rest and restore yourself.

Loved this place! The staff were terrific, the rooms were clean and the kids were always catered for. The only downside was no mobile network (it is important esp if traveling with kids - or from overseas and family need to keep in touch with you) or tv. I can see how this place would want that tranquility without these items - but I could suggest perhaps just a communal tv in the main lodge - perhaps this will create some level of interaction amongst the guests? And connecting wifi.
Overall - a hidden gem and a must see!

i was honestly torn between giving this place three or four stars but settled on three because as much as infrastructure was good they war a few prominent set backs.firstly the place is wonderful, its quite rooms are clean and the dinner menu is very tasty they have a five course dinner menu that changes everyday, and they also offer a kiddies menu which was convenient as we were moving with a lot of kids.the staff was very friendly and attentive.our package included one activity per day so we opted for horse riding and game drive which was good and kids thoroughly enjoyed it.the kids were well catered for ,those that couldn't fit on the bed were supplied with very comfy mattresses.the pool was icy cold as nyanga is generally cold so we didn't get to use it.the place is quite isolated and the big setback for me was that they have no network support so you will basically be unreachable the whole time, the rooms have no phones and i always want an option to be able to watch some tv as thats part of my relaxation but they were no tvs at all in the whole lodge.we basically spent most of our days out in nyanga town,we went to the national park, mtarazi falls which is the highest falls in zimbabwe and we went fishing and caught some fish and the hotel cooked the fish for us which was great.overall we had a decent stay,or and the have a beautiful and comfy reading room for those who enjoy reading, they did have wifi but it could only be accessed at the dining area and you couldn't access it from the rooms.the lodge is on a hill with so many split levels so you will have a lot of steps to climb.

Thank you for your valued review of our select , Inn on Rupurara and appreciate your comments .
With regard to cell phone network , we are in constant communication with the main networks to improve service to Nyanga and especially to our Inn and can only hope that they will see to this for the benefit of the guests, hotel and of course , the supplier . We have not installed tvs as one of the attractions to the area is the peace and quiet of the Inn and its surrounds however we will most certainly bear this in mind for future development of the Inn . Thank you again for your support and look forward to welcoming you back in the future .
Kind regards ,

A hotel located in a terrific setting. We stayed for 3 nights and it was blissfull. So quiet and peaceful, a real escape if your in need of some relaxation.
The room was clean and well appointed - we appriciated that it didnt have a television - and the turn down service was a nice touch.
What we were so impressed with was all members of staff and how accomodating and friendly they were. Nothing was too much trouble and always had time for us.
Only one thought for management to consider - we both liked the fact there were no televisions or radios but thought you could expand your reading material collection with a wider range of books/magazines to compensate?
A must stay if your going to Zimbabwe!

This hotel enjoys an unparalleled setting, with amazing views of the impressive granite hulk that is Mount Rupurara. The rooms are individual chalets and are reasonably spacious. The architecture is attractive, fitting in well to the environment. It is surrounded by indigenous forest and woodland, not much of which is left, thus walking oppurtunities are great. The food is quite expensive, but of a very high standard, and served in a wonderfully atmospheric restaurant.

A lovely quiet relaxing place to go to, just what we needed to end off our trip through Zimbabwe. There are plenty of activities offered at the Inn as well as close by. The food was great, as was the atmosphere.

We visited The Inn in May while doing a 14 day tour classic car around Zimbabwe - the Group stayed at most 4 and 5 star hotels and Lodges throughout the country and this hotel scored the best of the lot and 10/10 for hospitality, rooms, food, service - only the access road made for a bit of tough going for little, low cars.
