Booked for three days here but had to extend to four days as we found this paradise to be relaxing, friendly staff. The service was very personal and made you feel at home. I stayed here with my wife and two daughters aged 9 and 11. Waking up to the beautiful sunrise and all the bird songs. This little piece of heaven is nestled in an area with lush green trees, abundant wildlife, next to Nyanga National Park. A short drive away you will be viewing the tallest falls in Zimbabwe,Mtarazi Falls!!! Great location for hikers as you have a choice of hills a short walk away and not to mention the massive bare faced hill right at the back door!!!

Just stayed one night on a business trip, having been recommended to it. A delightful place, beautiful gardens with many rare species. Good accommodation, very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is almost based on an Olde English country inn and is delightful. We will return

We needed to get away from it all, and did!

Friendly efficient staff, excellent food, clean and efficient, in picturesque surroundings.

The finest scones with cream and jam I have had in recent years, anywhere.

Roads from Harare are good and it is a comfortable 3 hour drive at the speed limit.

Last but not least, it was VERY reasonably priced.

Friendly staff, consistent service and standards, very festive Christmas feel. Stunning part of Zimbabwe to visit and lots to do. The hotel is a little away from the National Parks but its an easy and beautiful drive away

As someone who grew up in this part of the world it was wonderful to see that the old world charm and friendly home from home atmosphere still thrives at the Pine Tree Inn. We booked 9 people for dinner which probably stretched the hotel kitchen resources to the limit as we were not staying there - nonetheless with minimal delay we were served a superb meal enjoyed by everyone young and old alike. The Manager was very attentive but did not intrude on our evening and the surroundings and decor were just as I remember them - comfortable, old fashioned and in keeping with the atmosphere at the hotel - just wonderful. I will most certainly be back and hopefully will not leave it for another 12 years.

With two friends I was travelling to the E Highlands and stayed here for one night. The garden was full of birds including some good local specialities. The cabins are quite old fashioned as is the whole place, but that is fine. Dinner and breakfast were really great, with efficient and friendly service. Wish I had stayed more than one night.

On the road between Rusape and Juliasdale there is a small turning - blink and you miss it - leading to one of the most peaceful places I have ever encountered. Stayed for just one night on a flying visit to the Eastern Highlands but well worth the journey. Set in a fantastic location with a beautiful view. Stayed in the standard rooms and yes, they were relatively simple but clean, spacious and comfortable. Hot water takes a while to come through, but they do warn you about this. Service is super and super-polite with the staff taking great care to get things right and making sure you have all you need without being intrusive. The ever present power cuts are dealt with remarkably well with an apologetic "it may take a little while", but with the view outside, who cares? This is not a place to party (!) but to simply chill, soak up the sun and enjoy a beautiful part of this beautiful country.
