Outside of Bet She'an, beyond Mt. Gilboa, is Kibbutz Hefzibah, which has on its grounds the 6th Century Beit Alpha synagogue with mosaic floor showing the 12 signs of the Zodiac with their names written in Hebrew and Aramaic. A charming Japanese garden is located on the highest point in Kibbutz, close to the cliffs of Mt.Gilboa, and is open to the public.
Nearby is Gan Garoo, a park devoted to the plants and animals of Australia.
The Tel Amal River traverses the length of the Gan Ha-shlosha National Park. Since its water is 28 degrees centigrade summer and winter, visitors can swim in the river year-round. The water collects in a natural pool.
