Fantastic hosts: We arrived 7 soggy, muddy & tired cyclists having made it along the John Muir Way from Helensburgh. Don't be deterred by the steep hill to the farmhouse for the welcome is truly worth it. A handy hose to wash the bikes down with and plenty space to store them overnight. Our delightful hostess even had all our wet gear washed, dried and waiting when we got back from dinner in Kilsyth. She also taxied us all there and back!!! Lodge is just gorgeous. It was just good good good all the way not to mention farmhouse breakfast!

Room Tip: Rooms in house share a bathroom but fine (especially for families/groups) Lodge could easily sleep...

Strongly recommended for anyone staying in the area. It isn't hard to find being sign posted from the main road in Kilsyth. It is a proper farm, a lovely house and with real people. Extremely interesting, safe, secure, quiet and very comfortable accomodation. I have stayed several times here and always enjoyed it. It is far better than a hotel.

There is not much I can say about this B&B except "BRILLIANT". I stayed in the log cabin and found it really comfortable and cosy. I was on my own, so the TV and WI-FI was a bonus for me. The hosts and the dogs were lovely and the breakfast was very tasty. I will definitely go back and stay again. This property really deserves 5 stars. The hosts were very obliging when I had to stay for an extra night. In fact, it seemed they were very willing to assist. Libby (owner) took a real interest in our conversations and it was not just passing the time of day.

Room Tip: I never seen the rooms in the farm house, but the log cabin was A+++

My husband and I stayed at the lodge at Allanfauld Farm while traveling in northern Europe. We prefer to stay at smaller, more unique places, and Allanfauld Farm is certainly that, with interesting history in addition to the lovely accommodations.
On the property of the family-owned farm, the lodge is very private, comfortable, tastefully decorated and immaculate. Libby McGregor, who runs the B & B is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast she prepares is fabulous.

Room Tip: The lodge is private, with a kitchenette and sitting area and separate from the bedroom that is ver...

I stayed at Allanfauld farm during a recent walking trip from Lands End to Cape Wrath in the north of Scotland.
I stayed in a lovely, comfortable room, the facilities were immaculate and the hospitality quite exceptional.
The farm is located a little way out of town but this is more than made up for by the quality of the accommodation.
