“Hiden Gem!”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

For anyone in the Betty's Bay area, this botanical garden is a must to visit. Beautifully maintained. The walk to the waterfall is highly recommended. Birdwatchers must remember their binoculars. The nursery is also a good option for well priced indigenous plants.

“This is an amazing oasis in the middle of ruggedness”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

The botanical gardens are stunning!! There are apparently some 700 types of plants and 88 types of birds to be seen on this 25 acre piece of land heading up into the mountains in behind.

Be sure to bring a picnic, hiking shoes and a camera. And make sure you walk up to Leopard's Gorge - it is worth the hike.

“Fynbos extravaganza and lovely hike”
Reviewed January 22, 2013

Lovely peaceful gardens with a gentle hike out the back of the gardens up Leopards Gorge. The hike tracks a stream up the gorge and covered in shade for most of the way. Nice easy hike up and down in an hour if need be.

“NATURE'S FOOD FOR THE SOUL”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Beautiful garden in which to relax, having a picnic under the trees or attending a concert under the stars.
Great variety of walks, especially Luiperdskloof with beautiful waterfalls, great spots along the walk to enjoy a break - take note that you will have to climb up and down a few ladders, but none too scary! Although high up on the cliffs, it was wonderful to see the disa's in full bloom here and also in Disa Kloof.
Restaurant serves great lunches after a morning of lots of fresh air.
