“Great base in the heart of North Yorks. Fantasic welceome too!”

We spent the long Easter weekend here this year - myself, husband, foster child, husband's parents and two black labradors.
As we arrived we were greeted and given a quick tour. The photos on this website do not do the property justice - much more spacious than it appears with three toilets to choose from too. The beds are REALLY comfortable (we all had a good first night's sleep which is unusual!), kitchen is well-equipped (I cooked a full lamb roast on Easter Sunday), area great for the dogs and Crayke is perfectly situated as a base from which to explore parts of North Yorkshire.

“A fantastic place to stay with wonderful owners”

The cottage is beautiful with loads of space - there were three adults and two children in our group (plus a Labrador) and there was plenty of room for us all. It was spotless when we arrived and you can tell the cottage is well looked after. There's a nice games room too with a pool table, dartboard and table tennis table.

Location wise, it's just outside Easingwold and is in a beautiful peaceful setting. We travelled into York each day for various activities - this drive takes 20 minutes or so.

The owners Derek and Marcia are lovely and made us feel very welcome. It's a very relaxing place to stay and I would definitely come again. There is literally nothing I can think of that could have been better. Stay here if you want a brilliant time at a very fair price!

Derek & Marcia made us feel very welcome & at home. Very helpful & informative. The accommodation was clean, well presented and comfortable. Good base for some short local walks the ones that led to the durham ox (local ale) and dutch house (pancakes) very worthwhile ! Also easy access to next village of easingwold with a well stocked coop & excellent Italian bakery called 'dough'. We found it an ideal base to travel to York, thirsk, ripon and horrogate. We had also booked with a company called 'live for today' and experienced a fantastic adventure in How Stean Gorge (approx. 1hr 15 drive) 'ghyll scrambling and abseil. I would definitely book Blossom Cottage again.
