This beautifully updated facility is a group of connected small buildings, with a swimming pool cut into the rocks above several of them. The couple which manages the facility, he is the chef and she is the only person out front in the restaurant, has done everything possible to minimize carbon foot print. Do not count on high thread count sheets or extravagant towels in the very nice bedrooms. This carries over to the dinner menu, a booking is essential, which relies on local suppliers, including those of the wines. Dinner is exceptional with fresh local ingredients and careful presentation. The hotel also has the advantage of being a few steps from the center of town, something to consider for parking and noise on a busy holiday weekend.

Room tip: Reception is closed from12:00 to 15:00. It is best to arrive after this to be certain your room is ready.

Les Jardins de Brantome has been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally tasteful and high standard. We spent two nights in the very comfortable room 11, which is located in a separate building accessed through the main property's garden. Our room was equipped with our own coffee machine with ample pods, including decaf (for Mrs TBD). Florence's breakfast is a very enjoyable selection of fruit, pastries and beautiful home made muffins.

It was a pleasure to meet her and a delight to enjoy Florence's hospitality from welcome to farewell. It was just a pity we could not enjoy a meal at Les Jardins de Brantome (Christophe was recuperating at his parents home, we hope he is well now) and March was not the best time to enjoy either gardens or pool.

We stayed here for one night on our dordogne road trip, it is well and tastefully decorated with the owners Florence's lovely taste. The restaurant was top quality food ,we had 3 courses and for mains had the lamb / and the pork with black currants delicious.
Breakfast was an organic treat ,the room was very restful, and so near the pretty Brantome river possible the best hotel we stayed at on our whole trip.
The only thing would be helpful would be a few bottles of drinking water in the room , but that's my own personal taste.

The hotel is a lovely quaint building in Brantome. The owner was very helpful throughout the stay. The rooms were very cosy, tastefully done out with a lovely bed and bathroom. This extended to the whole hotel which was furbished very well with the old and new blending perfectly. We had breakfast on both days which was a lovely start to the day with locally sourced foods. I would recommend this hotel to all and look forward to returning!

You arrve in the lovely village of Brantome and are welcomed by a log fire and the smiling helpful owner. It's a very old building beautifully restored with modern rooms with great attention to detail. Excellent bathroom with strong shower. Coffee maker and kettle with beautiful teas to choose from. Warm towel rail with fine towels and robes. Blissfully quiet.
The breakfast is excellent. Locally made bread that you'd travel miles for. Local honey and local yoghurt, fresh fruit salad. Good coffee.
Very reasonable prices £90 a room per night excluding breakfast. Good base to explore Dordogne. Excellent eating in Perigeux.
The husband and wife team really care and it shows.
Very good disabled facilities. Room on the street level and lift to the reception and restaurant just opposite room.

Room tip: Superior rooms are worth the extra £10
