We drove around the area, as caught out travelling late and feeling very hungry. After trying 2 other places, we settled for Wayne's as we thought due to its service station appearance and location, the food would be quick to our table...this was not the case.
We ordered 2 main meals and after an hour they finally arrived. You might think this was acceptable if the restaurant was full, but there were only 1 other table (of 4) waiting for their dinner when we arrived.
The waitress never told us we would have to wait this long, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere.
When the food did finally arrive, it was very average. Would we dine here again, honestly no. In actual fact every time my husband and I pass Wayne's we make a joke about going to eat there. Instead we would highly recommend and always eat when passing this part of the A303 The Queens Arm pub in Corton Denham...the food and service are amazing.
The restaurant itself it really strange inside, it reminded me of a basic restaurant in the Costa Del Sol...tiles on the floor and lifeless. It really is not a place I would recommend, and I go out to eat at least 2 nights a week and love all types of food and trying new places.
