Sheraton Mustika Experience

My stay at Sheraton Mustika Jogja was all in all satisfying. Despite the declining number of people staying at the hotel, the service was not at all disappointing. I must say that the hotel now looks old and the decor is kind of outdated (it was built in the 90s), but the newly renovated rooms make the ambience better. Good things about the hotel : swimming pool, breakfast menu, service, and politeness of staffs.

I stayed in this hotel some years ago and I'm back again for a week family holiday in Jogja. I was impressed by various improvements done. The entrance is really grand and looks impressive. Most of all I was impressed with the service, the staff are very professional, well trained, courteous, and very helpful. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable

Room tip: Choose level 1 or 2 it's quiet. Level 1 have direct access to lagoon swimming pool

I give the staff credit for making us feel welcome and doing what they could to make the stay enjoyable.

Problem is the property is quite old. It's in the midst of a renovation but at the time everything was depressed. We upgraded to a lagoon pool room which was nice. The walls were thin, towels were old and ac would not turn off.

Unless you're used to it, the Muslim chanting that is right next to the property starts at 4:30am. It's quite loud and woke us up every morning...

There's nothing around the hotel. 30 minutes shuttle ride to the center.

We appreciate the staff and their efforts but we really did not enjoy the stay. When the renovations are done I'm sure it will return to a nice property.

Yokja overall feels depressed. Other than the temples it's hard to recommend the city in general.

This hotel is quite old, I knew this place since 10 years ago but still charming until this day. hotel building located far from main road, so if you want seek hotel with quite and calm ambience, this is the perfect hotel. don't worry if you not borrow vehicle, there is a shuttle wait for you in main gate

very large bedroom and private balcony. bed is very comfy and the amenities is great. breakfast is awesome for me :D

I was impressed by sheraton when i arrived at the hotel.
However the following have reduce my overall perception of the hotel.
No early check in- it is alright since it is subjected to prior approval and vancancy.
Interior of the room: it was purely understandard for a branded hotel. No anti-slam function when we enter our hotel room. Our door literally slam down once we enter our room without any warning. What a scare!
The furniture inside the room are all so dirty. I mean there are like stains on their chairs, dust on the cupboard? I am pretty sure these are avoidable and at the same time unacceptable.
The renovation at the hotel was simply unbearable. I would not have stay here if i knew that there were renovationgoing on.
Shuttle service was late. Shuttle from hotel to malioboro street is 1 pm. We ask for shuttle service at 1302hrs. They told us it have went off.
Fine. Since we were late. We booked at shuttle service from malioboro road to sheraton at 8pm. And the shuttle service was late. Not for 5min. But 1hour and 10min. I tried calling the hotel reception, which i search for online and tried calling them on their facebook, there was not a single answer. We were left there waiting. No source of communication were available to the hotel. I would strongly suggest the management to update their phone number online, or at any point of time arrange for a staff to be incharge of the phonecall. Who enjoy waiting for an hour?

Went there with high hope. But this hotel is just in a mess. Poor service, enviroment, transport. There are defintely better hotel nearby.

Good volcano view from the room by the way. And close proximity to the airport is a gopd bonus.

Many thanks to the friendly staff at Sheraton Mustika especially Bu Purwonti (reservation manager) and Bu Mega and her team at the club lounge who make my stay so special and well take Care of.
Will definitely come back next to see the new transformation after the renovation.
