I just stayed here for one night to avoid crowds in the city, If you want to see all about Javanese-interior theme, might be a good choice to stay here.
Here is my review :

Upon arrival, the concierge are very helpful to help us, bringing our luggages into a hotel's cart and he gave a coupon, he tells me to give that coupon to the reception, so bellboy will know your number room.
Reception (FO) are very kind and responsive, and some of your staff offer some welcome drink to us, after that, I'm surprised because we were escorted by one staff her name is Isna, she's very polite and able to speak some chit-chat to me, and when I was staying in Marriott Yogyakarta last month, there are not some staffs to escort me to my room even the occupancy of the hotel is low last month.
The room size is big and I think that's enough to make a good rest but unfortunately we got an old room, but I think this is better than new room because in my opinion, the new room design are tasteless, less of Javanese touch and looks cheapy than the older one. And the old room has bathtub although there is some leak on the floor, and amenities are pretty good for 5 stars basic (I think I will get a branded stuff like Thann because Marriott just take over Sheraton etc from Starwood), but sadly it has not iron, cheapy slipper (like a motel slipper, I think like a feather or something else, but no), no speaker-alarm clock but that's OK
I love this room especially with an spectacular view of Mt. Merapi, you can enjoy your life in verandah while drinking some coffee to see Merapi, I highly recommended to book Deluxe Mountain View, in 5th floor near Junior Suite, it's very cool (if the weather is clear, no fog).
The swimming pool is huge and magnificent, inspired by Tamansari, so green and like a resort, but no access for handicapped / wheelchair, just stairs (or I don't see any ramp?). But it's ok
Also, this hotel is very adjacent / very close to JOG airport maybe approx. 1km even below (before moving to YIA in Kulonprogo in end of the year, approx.45-50 km from here). Good stay for us if you have a car with 'hump', because this hotel don't have a basement.

OLD, and not too maintain properly, but this hotel is undergoing renovation process in its room and facade, and hallway, so it will disturb you in 9am-5pm (in June 2019), I often meet some workers in front of my room, bringing the materials with his cart to renovation area, bit annoying but whatever, but the safety is doubtful, little bit worry but it's OK because I forgot to close my door but my stuffs are safe.
Far from city centre, but you can take a shuttle to Malioboro, but if you want to find the tranquil / serenity maybe this is a good choice to stay here, and Javanese-style resort too, nowaday some hotel in Yogyakarta are too modern and rare to find a local style like this.
