In Isabela island this tour was amazing! Rent a bike for US$2/hour, take the west road from Puerto Villamil and take the trail for wall of tears. There are many beaches and ponds in the way, you can go till the end, visit the wall, and go back stopping in all those places!

The trail is perfect, with signs everywhere, but remember: no water or food! You REALLY need to take your water (lots) and food. To go there and make all the stops in the beaches and places requires 3-4 hours. There are giant tortoise everywhere you go!! Marine iguanas and birds too.

A must do tour, by your own! Rent a bike and go for it!

If you have the time, take the hike to see the Wall of Tears, preferably with someone who can tell you the history. Though that might be lost on the younger kids, as it was with ours. He lost interest after a little while.

Rode mountain bikes out to this landmark in the jungle. Definitely worth the trip to see this astonishing and sobering monument to the futile and brutal treatment of prisoners. There are many interesting stops and scenic points on the way.

Not much there considering convicts worked on this for years. Old US base so Japan would not invade?!
