We stayed for 4 nights in junior suit. Excellent room with big balcony overlooking long beach. Room very clean throughout our stay.Well furnished but plumbing was a bit of a problem as mentioned by other reviewers. Shower cuts out every few seconds to conserve water. No plug in sink - water in sink only cold.
Stay spoiled by consistently poor front of house service. Reception abandoned most of the time. Had to go downstairs to staff rest area to get service.Drinks orders forgotten. Errors in food orders. Food good quality but menu limited. These issues were brought to the attention of a very apologetic manager but things did not improve.
What a shame
Dont be put off by these comments as the location with iguanas crossing the road outside constantly and flamingos in the nearby lagoon make it all worthwhile

Room Tip: Try not to get room at the back - view over salt lagoon is not pretty

We spend 5 days and nights at Iguana Crossing and I can very much recomand this hotel! Port Villamil is a charming small fishing village and appears to be at the end of the world. Therefore, it is a delight for the weary traveller to find a modern, luxurious and well run hotel at the end of town.
As I did all the booking arrangements myself, my first impresion was the very capable and frindly booking agent Camille. Also the manager at the hotel, Daniel, was very professional and helpful. He advised us which tours to book and helped us to make arrangements. Our room had a great view of the ocean. It was spacious, very clean and modern! The hot tub on the roof terrace was the perfect spot to take in the incredible sun sets and to soak the old bones after cycling to the Wall of Tears. The beach across the hotel was stunning and the wildlife behind the hotel was full of pink flamingos and Iguanas.
When going to Isla Isabella, this hotel should be included in the agenda!

Room Tip: Definitely chose a ocean front room!

This is a modern, elegant hotel with fantastic food and staff. Just cross the street and you are at your own beach. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathrooms well designed with water saving features - very smart. The only problem was the water in the shower was never warm and the glass door separating the bathroom from the room was see through? Transparent door in the bathroom? Seriously?

I wish I could have spent my whole vacation on this island and at this hotel. The town is a laid back and very friendly town. The views are spectacular. The hotel is modern, VERY green and has wonderful places to relax around every corner. Make sure to spend time on the 3rd floor, especially at sunset, in the hot tub ;) But the best part about this hotel, besides the food and drink, is the staff. They bend over backwards to ensure your every wish is met. I cannot wait until I can return!!!

Very friendly welcoming staff, unique and beautiful location at the edge of the town with a terrific view of the ocean ... And nightly sightings of iguanas crossing the road :) the food was really good and so fresh and beautifully presented .
The water conservation system was really cool too ... The rest of the world could learn from them !!

My sister and I will always treasure our precious time at the Iguanna Crossing. This was one of the most beautiful places that I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. The service was wonderful. We felt like we were the only guests! Isabela is well worth the extra effort , and the Iguana Crossing is well worth the splurge. I hope to return someday. If you are fortunate to find yourself in the Galapagos, I humbly ask you to pick up some trash and recycle what you can. The responsibility to protect and preserve the precious Galapagos Islands lies with each and every one of us. Thank you! Terry S.

Room Tip: Ocean view!!!! Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean!

We loved our trip to the Galapagos islands and our stay at the Iguana Crossing was the highlight of the trip. The room was great and so was the food. We swam with the Green turtles and saw some of the most amazing anamals. No wonder Darwin was so inspired. The people and location of Iguana Crossing were also first rate. Highest recommendation.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the swamp in the back. It gets a little smelly.
