“Xmas holiday in Paradise”

This year we had our family Christmas holiday on this beautiful tropical island . PP land is a very peaceful and relaxed resort . It is the kind of place you go if you want to immerse yourself in the nature . The bungalows are very basic but you do not need more because the island is stunning and you want to be outside all the time. We were lucky to be there on a windy and cool period , so that we did not even need the fans at night but rather we had to ask for a blanket. The bungalows directly on the beach had a fantastic background music of the waves crushing at night and a constant wind blowing . Pearl and Paul were very friendly and amiable hosts. Will definitely go back .

Room Tip: Bring your own toiletries as the rooms have none.

For me it is a very good place to come into my yoga rhythm, ( they have yoga-mats you can use ) they have a platform i juste it every day. there is peace. if you want to go to the crowed places you can go there. but at ppland you will have the sound of the sea coming into you cabin... and wilderness.
It's a good place for al kinds of travelers. Just like life. I have read some complains. i think be happy what there is.. and don't look al the time what wrong.. I am so happy whit the internet.. there.. and the sea sounds and peace... yes the water is not so warm.. but if you have shower in the jungle whit bucket.... everything is better then that...

Just back from another wonderful stay at PP Land. I see that this place has very mixed reviews, I really like it though. It's a very peaceful and relaxed place, there are many shady walks through the cashew and rubber plantations. I found Paul, Pearl and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Paul is very knowledgable about birds, there were flocks of beautiful green pigeons and hornbills around the restaurant area every morning. I saw monkeys, squirrels, monitor lizards, butterflies and tree frogs. So for nature lovers, a lovely island.

I didn't hear the night club mentioned in a previous review although the nearby temple had a celebration with loud music one night while I was there but was switched off by 10 pm. There was some chanting but that didn't bother me.

The bungalows have new roofs, the beds now have cotton sheets to cover also a quilt for cooler nights and the gardens have been tidied. The rooms are cleaned about every four days.

There are a couple of things that bother me, the sea wall and white plastic sun beds but overall PP Land ticks most of my boxes.

we had a good time of 4 nights stay . 800 baht bangalow with sea view is great. Can enjoy beautiful sunrise every morning. Mostly empty beach. 20 mins walk to town center.Get a sea breeze almost all day long.So windy sometimes. Shallow beach.

When we arrived at Koh Phayam we really wanted to check out PP-land Ecoresort. The only transportation on gorgeous Phayam is via motortaxi (or rent one yourself) and its a 10minute ride to the resort. Upon arrival it took a while to find staff to ask if they had availibility, we had to ask the guests sitting in the restaurant if the knew where we could find someone to help us.
When we found someone she informed us that the owners were not at Phayam.
She was not unfriendly during our stay but sometimes it seemed she was not really interested, maybe its because its the end of the high season..she told us the restaurant was open untill 8pm but when we arrived at 7.30pm it was closed and dark. No big deal but since there are no closeby shops or restaurants to get your meal there it was a bit unpractical.
We got a bungalow on the second row which still had a lovely seaview. 600 bath is not a bad price concerning the decoration and look of the bungalow, we loved the open bathroom! Really spacious and cute!
We moved after a couple of nights to Ao Yai on Phayam because it was really hot and the beach there is nicer and more suitable for swimming.
PPland has 24hour electricity (most places in Kho Phayam only have electricity between 6PM and 12PM) and fast WIFi in the restaurant for free. There is also a cute swimming pool but during our stay the water was seriously too hot, so we didnt used it after the first time.

+ eco friendly, lovely bungalows with big veranda and hammock, nice beach, really YUMMY homemade bread and baquettes, peacefull, cute wildlife like geckos, frogs, crabs to look at, the open air bathroom with cooling shower. Rent a scooter to get around, the island is gorgeous!

- during our stay in April it was really really hot. The fan in the room is small and doesnt cool you down. I am anti-AC but maybe some bigger fans would do the trick? Beach isn't great for swimming and there is a lot of garbage. But this is a problem in a lot of countries in SE-Asia.

We read good reviews so we decided to visit.A very poor unfriendly welcome.Bungalows are good but very close to each other.you will hear everything your neighbours do.Fans in room are pathetic.Large gaps between floor planks for wildlife and mosquitos to enter.General apathy in kitchen Couldnt be bothered to cook any fish or make any effort in kitchen. The amount of rubbish on beach not acceptable.FILTHY.The other beaches are ten times better and restrauants provide fish and large prawns with ease and a friendly smile. We got the feeling Burmese staff bullied.Never surprised only disappointed PP LAND very poor.

I read a lot of nice reviews about this hotel but having arrived there I was disappointed. Quite big bungalow, comfortable bed, the only electrical outlet is located on the floor. There are no shelves for luggage therefore it lays on the floor. Shelves inside private bathroom are not for luggage but for your clothes. Very poor light inside bungalow therefore impossible neither read nor write. Small ventilator above the bed rotates the hot air through bungalo.
in the shower flows really COLD water and it creates a problem with washing of the body and hairs on the head.
Private bathroom is devided into 3 parts: 1st is the sink, 2nd is shower and 3rd is the toilet bowl. All of these 3 parts are separated from outside only 2/3 wall. The audibility in the bungalow is good. You can even hear if somebody sneezed or farted at the nearby bungalow.
The nature is not only outside bungalow but also inside. Ants, mosquitos, flies and etc because of quite big cracks between wooden floorboards.
I liked : quiet place, comfortable hammock in the terrace, sea breeze in the evenings, good cuisine in the hotel`s restaurant.
