We, a family of five, spent eight days at Ko Phayam and could not had a better place to stay. The bungalow was clean and cozy, with a hammock on the porch. The food was tasty and the service was superb. Thank you so much Katie and the cru, for your smiles and your services. We would love to come back!

I'd say I like the place as it was quite peaceful. There was no TV in the bungalow but it was okay with us because we spent most of the time outside the bungalow anyway. However, there were a couple of things we dislike about the place.
1. Outdoor hot shower didn't work in the wind. There was a cold shower indoors but we'd always come back home in the evening wet and the temperature dropped a bit in the evening so it didn't work well for us.
2. There was a gecko that made a very loud noise at 3am every night. 3. Although the staff were pretty friendly but they were still very young and weren't paying enough attention to guests. Phayamas appeared to be short on staff, all the staff were all over the place doing everything from reception, waiting, cooking and serving.
The staff (young girls) were lack of knowledge about the attractions and tour operators. They tend to only mention the tours that they felt comfortable to explain. We actually planned to buy a tour at the hotel like we usually do on our trips. Here, we get different info. from different person each time we approached the counter. The reception/owner who seemed to know better than the young staff at the counter often disappeared and we missed the tour to Moo Koh Surin, which was the only reason why we went to Ranong for because they only do it once a week. We then stuck in Koh Phayam because we didn't have time to get a visa to go to Island in Myanmar for an alternative option so we missed that too.
Careless Phayamas reception/owner failed to provide the already booked airport transfer. We stood at the pier waited for the unarranged transport and later on we had to call Phayamas again for an arrangement and Phayamas told us to contact the bus driver at the pier for the transport. We did and we got a shared van transfer to the airport. I wouldn't say I don't like the staff. I do but I think they could've cared more.

Very quiet and peaceful. Located near the beach and in the middle of the nature, you can enjoy animals sounds ans see amazing birds. The food is very good too. You can rent motorbike for visit the island. The owner family and people who worked there are so friendly, they will make you smile.
So if you want to go to Koh Payam, it's the place to go.

We recently had a highly enjoyable six night stay at Phayamas Private Beach Resort. Katie and her lovely team provide a beautiful relaxed environment creating a memorable stay. We had originally seen Phayamas on booking.com however had thought staying on the other side of the island to be preferable. Once on the island we found this not to be relevant. We visited Phayamas and soon relocated there as the resort was just beautiful (and very much superior to where we were).

It is a small (18 room) boutique resort, with a fantastic pool, restaurant and beach front position. The rooms are in good condition & spotless. Breakfasts were varied and we also dined at the restaurant on a number of nights. Meals were excellent. Phayamas Private Beach Resort would be my only go to for accommodation if I return to Koh Phayam and I don’t hesitate to recommend it. Congratulations Katie you have a wonderful resort and help your guests depart with great memories!

I was looking for a long-weekend getaway from the Bangkok metropolis and found it at this resort. The booking arrangements went very smoothly, with pick up and drop off at the airport and piers. The resort is new and clean. I enjoyed the beach, pool, private villa with hammock and open-air dining room - it's a refreshing place. Try the amazing seafood! The resort is in great location for hiking, biking, stand-up board, etc., with all kinds of wild life nearby. It was rainy season, but the light morning rain didn't spoil the holiday. Thank you very much, Katie and team, for the excellent advice and service.
