I must admit I do visit this Pub quite often, so that speaks for itself really, if I did not like it, their are other pubs quite local.
It is a friendly pub and quite popular with the locals, beer is good and unlike a lot of Pubs that are struggling for customers, this Pub does not have that problem.
There is a nice place to sit outside if you are a smoker, or even if you do not smoke it is ok.
If you visit Rainhill Village this Pub is worth a visit.
Also the first Locomotive trials were held at the railway station facing, so there is a great deal of interesting history around there.
