“Four Winds Restaurant, Rainhill”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

The Four Winds Restaurant is set in a magnificent setting within Blundells Hill Golf Club and has splendid views across to the Welsh Hills and Mountains. Lois who is the Restaurant Manager always make you most welcome and Martin, the Head Chef provides excellent food with a good variety of choices. All the staff offer a professional service and are very welcoming whether it is you first time or like us are regulars. Sunday lunch provides a changing menu and should provide choice for all tastes. The ambience within the restaurant is extremely pleasant and we would recommend a visit to anybody.

“Hole in One for Blundells Hill!”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

We came to the restaurant for a meal for two and we couldn't fault it! We were shown to our table in an elegant, airy restaurant, the staff were polite and the place looked fantastic. as first impressions g, you couldn't beat it!

We were surprised at just what an imaginative menu was on offer and I hear the new a la carte menus for 2013 are just as mouthwatering. the food matched with THAT view is outstanding. The views here are magnificent; no other restaurant for miles around can match them.

So did the food match up to those spectacular views? Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! We were really impressed with the food and service alike, and we’ll be returning to dine here again. So much so i have just booked my husband a golf and dining day out - Jill couldn't have been more helpful!

The Four Winds restaurant is a hidden gem, and if the quality of the food and the fantastic setting is anything to go by, this will soon be ‘the’ place to dine in the Rainhill area.

“Sunday Lunch”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

The restaurant was quiet, the food was excellent, think it was quiet as people don't realise it is open to the public being at a golf club, We had quite a few drinks which were at pub prices and thaen went through to the bar to watch the liverpool match, ended up leaving my car there ,but we had fun.

“Didn't offer good value”
Reviewed July 12, 2012

Took my parents for Sunday lunch. Not very busy, never a good sign! Lacked atmosphere and food was just ok. Yorkshire puddings were massive but very overdone. Fair to say I wouldn't rush back.

“What a lovely mothers day!”
Reviewed March 18, 2012

Came here with my family for mothers day and had the 3 courses for£14.95. We all had soup to start which was lovely and creamy and there was plenty of it too. I then had the roast pork which was well cooked with a nice jus (gravy) however would have liked more .. Rest of family had roast beef and said it was lovely. They had lovely looking Yorkshire puddings of which I was jealous of!! Vegetables were nicely cooked ( courgettes , carrots and baby corn) as well as the roast potatoes which were crispy and fluffy! Staff were really friendly and attentive. The restaurant inside is lovely and airy with a slightly Mediterranean feel to it. It had a really nice atmosphere and we were really pleased with everything overall. Definitely recommend! Oh we had apple crumble and banoffee pie to finish both which were fab!!!!
