“an oasis in an oasis!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2011

This reasonably priced guest house was brilliantly located for all the tourists sites in the area and the beautiful towns of Priego and Cordoba. The accomodation is stylishly simple reflecting Spanish style, spotless, comfortable and completely self contained with its own terrace. Use of the pool was completely unrestricted and very welcome in the hot weather! Breakfast and evening meals were beautifully cooked and substantial and included a very generous amount of wine! Jan and Mike were wonderful, thoughtful hosts and excellent company! My only complaint was that we were there only 3 nights!

Dear Jan & Micheal,

We had stay there 1 night and wish we could stay a bit longer. We found the room is clean and the owner Jan & Michael are lovely and very helpful…can not ask more.

We wish to come back again in the future. Will recommend to our friend & family.

You can phone the owner to book directly.

Say hello to Cocky and his fellow!

Beamy

Due to an error on my part, we arrived a day early to be greeted with amused surprise but an immediate, and welcome, solution. Although rather isolated the accomodation was excellent spacious, clean and with excellent fixtures and fittings. The rooms open on to a spacious balcony overlooking the garden and pool. The hills opposite are covered in olive trees, as is the whole area.
Breakfast was all that could be asked but we didn't take an evening meal. Jan and Mike are friendly, int eresting people and extremely accomodating to the point of booking our visit to the Alhambra, an easy drive away.
Local towns are picturesque with Alcala la Real the pick. The main drawbacks, we thought, were the isolation and the blandness of the local scenery. however, if you are using it as a base for touring, these do not impact greatly.

After a hectic two days in Seville we got to Casa Oasis and felt we had arrived for our holiday. We were met with a warm welcome and it was pleasant to find our rooms cosy, very comfortable and detached from the other let rooms. This has been one of the loveliest places we’ve stopped at and we’ve been able to unwind, enjoy the pool and yet it's in such easy to reach distance from the other big cities. Also the evening meals were exceptional in quality and very good value.. Most enjoyable holiday!.

Spent a wonderfully relaxing week at Casa Oasis. Jan and Mike were the perfect hosts and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. They were happy to take us to see the sights at very reasonable prices. The best trip was to the bat caves where the scenery was stunning. The weather was beautiful but extremely hot, so relaxing in the pool was such a relief. The home cooked food was delicious and we really looked forward every evening to sitting round on the patio, chatting as the sun went down. Highly recommended - we'll be back!

We found Casa Oasis when looking for a more rural Spanish experience, after being worn out by the heat and traffic of Andalucia's cities. We thought the price was very reasonable and this was confirmed by our enjoyable stay. The guest house is comfortable and homely, and the sun chairs and pool were great but the best thing about our stay was Jan & Micheal's hospitality. Jan cooked us an amazing dinner and we were entertained by stories, jokes and helpful information about the area. We set off to Priego, (a perfect little Andalucian town) with all of the inside information we needed thanks to Jan. Casa Oasis is a perfect base for those on a driving holiday, wanting to see Cordoba, Granada, Jaen and anywhere in between.

We found Casa Oasis on the internet and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. It really is an oasis and we enjoyed private areas to sit, a lovely pool, garden and wonderful hosts, Jan & Michael Templeton. Jan is a great cook, i would highly recommend having dinner there, and Michael kept us amused with his Scottish jokes! You must stay there.
