First off,let me say that is the first review that I have ever written. And I'm doing so now in the defense of Frank and Irma. They were very gracious, informative helpful people that we have ever stayed with!! From Belize,Jamaica,Cabo,Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel Cancun to all of the islands that start with Saint in front of them.
The house is exactly the way it is represented!! Anyone that has traveled south of the border, and I don't mean just Mexico, knows that electricity is expensive.
We stayed a month last year, from the time Irma met us at the airport, it was like
An ole "you notice I didn't say old" friend we had come back to visit. If you want lay back and chill, this is the place and if want to raise a little Cain. And your not looking for Cabo or Montego Bay. Then this might a good place to relax and get the feel of what Mexico is really all about!!
La Mansion, I can't wait to see Frank,Irma,Juan,Marie and Jose. We'll see you shortly because we've booked another month booked and we're all looking forward to seeing you.
I'm amazed at the 5 positive reviews and no negative ones, first of all I was there for 4 days and on the first day I noticed that the living room a/c did not work and the rooms a/c units would only turn on from 9:pm to 9:00 am so I contacted the owner and she told me that the living room unit had not been repaired for 3 years due to the "high cost of repair" then she tells me that the other units would only work at night due to her trying to keep the costs low to qualify for some kind of government subsidy, then after complaining about the need to have a/c due to having my elderly parents at the rental house, she tries to defend herself telling me that I had more people than anticipated, a flat out lie, I would not recommend this rental house.
We just returned from a glorious week at La Mansion in Melaque. What a perfect spot for our extended family reunion. We were 4 generations from 14 months to 79 years old. This property had a perfect set up for our diverse group. The pool and grounds were wonderful for welcoming the sunrise and sending off the sunset. The property was close enough to Melaque to be pedestrian, but it was also easy to grab a taxi to and from various sites and restaurants if the mid day sun was a bit over bearing. Mary and Juan the caretakers, helped us daily with any of our needs. Mary created wonderful meals. They even grilled beautiful fillets of Dorado fish to help us celebrate two of our family member's birthdays. Juan drove our group to day trips to Barra de Navidad and to some nearby bays for gentle ocean swimming. Irma the owner helped us find food supplies for our week, recommendations of good restaurants, and even ordered us a delicious Tres Leches birthday cake for our family celebration. Thank you Juan, Mary, Frank, and Irma for making it a vacation to remember!
