We had a large room on the second floor, with a view of the Grand Canal (from a side window, but still a canal view!). The bathroom was up a flight of stairs in the bedroom, which was a bit unusual, but the bathroom was well equipped and spacious. The bedroom was beautifully decorated, with fabric wallpaper and a gorgeous Murano glass chandelier. The bed was huge, and very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the bar area, hot food was scrambled eggs, bacon/ham, and sausages, as well as plenty of cereal, yogurts, fruit, cheese, ham, cakes, bread etc. The reception staff were always very helpful, plenty of information about places to visit etc, and the breakfast staff were very efficient. The location was perfect, 10 minute walk to Rialto, and about 15 mins to St. Marks Square. There is a water bus stop (Ca' d'Oro) literally outside the hotel; the water buses do believe they are bumper cars when they dock at the bus stop, but we were not disturbed by any noises even though the buses run all night. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends, and would stay there again if we returned to Venice.

Very nice classic hotel, excellent location on Grand Canale with Vaporetto stop just outside. Nice room with big bathroom which included shower and jacuzzi bath. Good buffet breakfast. Good merchant street just behind.

My wife and I have just returned from a four night stay here to celebrate her 40th birthday and what a lovely hotel -and room -we had!
We booked a junior suite so perhaps should not have been so surprised when we walked into such a huge room but still, being in a city centre we didn’t expect what we got for our money!
Can WELL recommend this place if you are visiting Venice...

The hotel location is great. Very easy to walk to from Fte.Nove Alilaguna stop, 10 minutes or less. Check in was easy and friendly. Hotel has a lift. Room was decent size but not amazing. It was clean but bit tired. Brown walls made it gloomy and made room feel smaller. Wardrobe had no handles. No welcome water etc or tea and coffee facilities. Bed was huge and a good mattress. Air conditioning is centralised which is not great. Breakfast was not great from a vegetarian perspective and only one waitress to service entire room. But waitresses on each day were very hardworking and tried to help and replenished as fast as possible but a lot of waiting still from guest perspective. I enjoy fruit in the morning but as fruit bowl had pineapple In fruit salad I avoided as I have allergy. Instead nearby lots of supermarkets I bought fruit every evening at great prices including water for room. Hotel in a great location. Needs a bit more staffing both reception and at breakfast. On the whole was a pleasant stay and good value for money.
