Despite being located a bit off the beaten track, it only takes you about 15-20 minutes to reach Mas Mariassa from the AP-7 motorway, and the time is worth it.
This small hotel is nested in very peaceful surroundings outside the village Pratdip itself, and if you are looking for rest and quiet, this is the place.
The rooms are comfortably decorated, and if you want to stay for a few days, I would recommend a mini-suite, as it gives you a bit more space and confort.
We had two dinner meals at the hotel restaurant, and the food was absolutely top rate. Very good value for money also.
There is a spa that you can book for your private use, booking in adance. Very nice for spending some time in the evening, looking at the stars, with a nice cold glass of cava and some strawberries.
They also have a lounging área outside, with sofás and chill-out style furniture. Great for a night cap.
During daytime the location offers great options for hikes in the stunning mountains nearby (10-15 mins drive), and you can also drive over to the Priorat wine district in about half an hour. There you can visit exciting wineries, viticultural cooperatives for buying excellent wines, or having lunch in one of the many restaurants in the área.
Also the village itself, Pratdip, is worth a visit. If you travel with kids, it may be fun to do the "jincama" (finding hidden ítems throughout the village), locating all the different representations of the famous wild dogs (according the the myth) that gave the village this name.
Will definately return to Mas Mariassa. It is a great plae to go for a romantic week-end, or for a family celebration.
