“A unique boutique hotel”

We stayed three days over a long weekend at the end of June and we loved the place. On arrival we were welcomed by Fatima, who had only just joined the staff but could not have been more friendly or helpful.
Although we were late in the day we were served the first of three wonderful meals. The hotel calls itself a gastronomic location and we absolutely agree. There was no menu, staff explained what the meal to be was and asked if we were happy with it - we loved everything but I am sure they would have prepared something else if there was a problem. The food was beautifully presented and invariably had interesting, local and different components - all four of us rated the meals five stars!
The rooms were stylish and had everything we needed and the quiet location led to very peaceful nights.
The grounds were a bit 'under development' as was the new, much larger, swimming pool (they hoped to open this facility in July) but had great views.
As always it is the staff that really matter and they were great.
This is a part of Spain you may never go to, but do! We were there to see motorcycle racing at Aragon, but plan to go back. It is well worth a diversion.

This hotel is a little gem tucked away in the stunning scenery near Pratdip just 15 minutes off the AP7 motorway. The renovated farmhouse has been carefully restored by the family and provides a touch of luxury in a relaxing environment; guests are also treated to some lovely food in the evening with a fine wine menu.

We stayed here as we were finalising the purchase of a property only 10 minutes away, Xesco was extremely helpful offering advice on local services and building regulations! The owners also have two fantastic dogs that are extremely friendly and can be found sleeping under various bushes during the hot days. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, they were also more than happy to help us with our Spanish and a little Catalan.

We stayed for two nights as a couple in June. This beautiful property really is off the beaten track but only an hour and a half drive south of Barcelona.
We just loved the setting with the mountains all around. We stayed in the smallest room and in hindsight we wish we had booked a larger room as we felt the bed was a little small for us. The larger room have super king sized beds. Modern ensuite bathrooms. The evening meal was superb and the property was clean and perfect. There was a small swimming pool which we used as the weather was very hot.
We strongly recommend this property to stay in away from the more crowded areas. The beaches were about 20 minutes drive away.
It is truly a special place.

If You're still having any doubts about going to Mas Mariassa, just pack Your bags and go! Now! It took me a while to decide and I was close to missing this paradise. When I finally decided there only were two rooms left ( just what me and my daughters and my friend and her daughter needed) .The place is ... how shall I put i? Perfect? Up in the mountains, with nothing but olive groves surrounding it. Extremely peaceful and serene. Being so small ( only 7 rooms) it has a cosy home-like feeling. The rooms are all beautiful. Ours was a luxury bedroom with the view going out on the outside garden lounge and mountains. The owners Francesc and Raquel run this place with so much love, passion and attention to detail, it just can't get any better. The food is impeccable. At first we were planning on going out eating, but after Francesc's first tasting menu for supper, there was no way we would let anyone else feed us. Going there with our 11,11 13 daughters we were scared they'd be bored. Nothing of the kind. Macchina and Nuk - the owner's dogs soon became our daughters dogs and followed them on their walks throughout the nearby countryside. Both us and the kid loved the jacuzzi under the stars experince followed by a nice round of sauna. I could go on forever about this place. Please trust me - go there and You will NOT regret it. We already miss it and it's only been 10 days since we came back home. Thank You Raquel and Francesc for a beautiful and memorable stay, You guys are great! We will be back!

It's a bit hard to get there, but when you arrive...it's paradise! The scenery of the region is beautiful. In the middle of the Priorat wine region. This is a boutique hotel with a wonderful gourmet restaurant. The rooms are beautiful and clean, and the staff is super nice. Need to say more?

Room Tip: The rooms on the front have a breathtaking mountain view.

My wife and I got married at Mas Mariassa. Francesc and Grisalda made certain that every last detail was taken care of. We felt from the minute we made our reservations to our check out time that we were in the best of hands. The location is magical. We felt as though we had our own personal oasis in the world. Francesc's meals were delightful each and every night. Hands down, this is a place not to miss!

Francesc and Raquel have created something quite extraordinarily special at Mas Mariassa. We chose it as an overnight stop for its location - minutes from the motorway, but so peaceful you could have been a million miles from anywhere...and we booked to stay on our way back to France because we couldn't resist spending another night there! Somehow, it doesn't feel like a hotel - it is so relaxed, so welcoming, very attentive but brilliantly low-key........we stayed during an unusually cold February, and it was cosy and warm, with a blazing fire and toasty bedroom, superbly comfortable, stylishly decorated. The food was exceptional with an unusual selection of local wines - and the olive oil, which is produced on their own estate, is the most extraordinary I have ever tasted - you can buy some to take home! Thank you Francesc, Raquel, Griselda and all the team for your hospitality and welcome - this was an unforgettable experience - you have something truly magical!
