This property was absolutely gorgeous! If you want modern décor, huge pool, jacuzzi, and private beach and do not mind to be away from the town, this is the perfect hotel!

Being a Platinum member, we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a beautiful room with amazing views. Our room was facing pool on one side and Dawn beach on the other side. It had 2 balconies connecting to each other. If this stunning room wasn’t the property’s penthouse, it was a penthouse in our minds! We were a little reluctant to leave this hotel. Unfortunately we had made reservation for the rest of our stay in Sint Maarten at Princess Heights. We later came to realize that it was definitely not the best choice. We encountered mosquitoes and possible bed bugs at that property. We did not see a single mosquito and did not have a single bite at Westin.

Minor drawbacks:
1. TV was a little small for such a huge room;
2. Wild cats were wandering around the property;
3. We had to get our breakfast coupons from the front desk instead of they were automatically put into the system.

Was at a business conference for 3 nights. This resort is beautiful. The pool, scenery, people, food and drink was all top notch. My room didn;t have a view, but I was rarely there anyway. The room itself was perfect, met expecation for a Westin.

Breakfast buffet, omelete stations etc. were very good. Did not eat lunch or dinner at the resort, so can't comment there. Spa was good, Vicki's massage was great. Didn't hit the gym, but it looked good.

The casino was good... dealers were all friendly and the atmosphere was very friendly towards the players.

Only two complaints, both centred around location. The resort is on the windward side of the island, so while the beach is beautiful, it was very rough all 4 days we were there. It is also about 30 minutes to wherever you might want to go off the resort, so be prepared for cabs or car rentals.
Would still definitely recommend.

Room Tip: definitely try to get an ocean or pool view

We hosted a business conference. The staff were exceptional; the grounds were well maintained & the view to the beach was amazing! The rooms were clean & well kept. The business conference space was well equip & nicely decorated.

The resort is about 15-30 mins from town which makes the only downfall.

We stayed there recently for 4 nights. . We had the best experience the hotel is located in a beautiful and serene area. It is not close to Marigot or the airport but the drive is amazing and nice. The hotel staff was great, helpful and very nice. We can't wait to come back next November.

We stayed here for one night before a Windstar cruise. After a grueling journey that included a red-eye out of LAX, an almost four-hour early-morning layover in Atlanta, and the flight from hell to SXM (wedged in between two passengers who each needed a seat and a half, one of which coughed all over me the entire way), I was looking forward to a nap in our room at the Westin, a room that, I might add, cost us over $600.

We arrived at about 4:30 in the afternoon, only to be told, “Unfortunately, we do not have a room for you right now.” A couple of phone calls were made, and I overheard something like, “Well, we could just give them that lady’s room.”

Twenty minutes later, we were given the key to “that lady’s” room and were directed to a wing of the hotel about half a mile from the lobby. For six hundred bucks, I guess I expected more. The room was big enough, but the view was of a driveway and the toiletries were something you’d find in a cheap motel. And it evidently hadn’t been cleaned since “that lady” vacated it. There was a fruit plate and a card addressed to her on the dresser, and the room was dirty. For example, there was dried blood on the bathroom floor.

We soon found out why “that lady” vacated this room. It was one of those rooms with a thin door in between it and the adjoining room, the kind of door that lets in ALL the noise from the next room. And there were a bunch, maybe five, loud unattended kids in that room. The hotel staff seemed to think we had something to do with them and kept showing up at our door for reasons that had nothing to do with us. Unbelievably, the parents even came into our room once, looking for their kids. Of course we asked to be moved, and of course the answer was no.

I would not stay at this hotel again.
