Description: The Dinghy Dock Bar is a true Caribbean dive bar. Situated on a historic marina in Oyster Pond, the bar straddles the Dutch and French line sitting over the water. It's a place where high and low, locals and tourists, rub elbows and party the night away. It was originally a place to get the rowdy drunken sailor's out of the finer establishments in the area. Sit at the bar and to hear stories told, some true and many not, from around the island and around the world. The "mix your own" happy hour is the best around. That's right, you get the bottle, glass, mixer, and make you own drink. This is also one of the best-stocked bars on the island, with the usual suspects, as well some unusual ones - even a selection of craft beers from the US for those missing a taste of home. The kitchen makes some of the best casual bar food around, lunch and dinner. You won't find better fish and chips, ribs, burgers, wings, or anything else on the menu. Daily specials vary from goat stew to jerk pork chops to blackened grouper. We open at 8am for coffee and fresh baked croissants. The kitchen opens around 11am and runs until you're stuffed. All are welcome - kids, dogs, iguanas, random dock critters, old and young people - provided, of course, they're up for a good time. Family friendly most of the day and night, late night is definitely more suited for the "big kids". You never know what will happen at this place. There is also live music every Sunday night and usually 2-3 other nights of the week. Sports fan? The game is always on at the Dinghy Dock. Whether it's NFL, NHL, NBA, Soccer, College, Pro, Olympics, you name it and we will like be watching. Stop by and yell at the tvs(that's right, more than one) with us. You are guaranteed to have a good time no matter what night you go, and once you've been there, you will be back. Maybe because you got so drunk you forgot your shoes, or maybe to do it all over again. Dinghy Dock Bar "The Peril of Oyster Pond"

“A "don't miss"”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

Have been going to the Dinghy Dock for years and was very pleased with the new ownership. The food is still good....actually, it's even better. Seth is a great host and makes sure everyone has a good time. The "pour your own" happy hour is still the best. If you go on a night with music (especially Thierry), it makes for a very fun night out with friends. It's a night we all look forward to every year. It's definitely a "don't miss" place!

“Wouldn't miss a night (or two) at Dinghy Dock.”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

A vacation to St. Martin without a visit or two to Dinghy Dock would be unacceptable to us. This great liitle restaurant/bar is perfect for a delicious meal. The ribs are my all-time favorite, and my husband loves to order their fish dinners. Happy hour is daily with "POUR YOUR OWN" drinks. You order Vodka and Tonic, and those bottles are placed in front of you with a glass of ice. NICE!!

We have been going here for years, and it is always on our list of things to do while in St.Martin. Don't miss this for a great carefree night out.

After dinner enjoy a stroll on the docks to see all the wonderful boats settled in for the night or week. What fun!

“New View of Boats”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Its an outdoor open air restaurant with close views of the yaughts. you can walk around after dinner and look at all the wonderful boats. We had tuna and mahi mahi on the 1st night we arrived and both dishes were good.

The only thing we didn't like is the waitress was not very friendly, but she was efficient in getting the order out.

“Your Every Desire Will be Satisfied”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Happy hour is the best on the island. From 5-7 you pour your own drinks (Usually weaker than the bartender) The Bartender will challenge you to drink a pitcher of beer in 3 gulps. We saw an attempt end badly so make sure you can back up your claim.

The atmosphere is very laid back and fun.

We were traveling in a group of 4 and sat at the bar most of the time so drinks were flowing well.
When we sat at a table, the service was a bit slow, but par for the course for St. Martin. Food was average. Everybody claims to have the best (Insert type of food here) on the island. We tried the ribs and they were good, but not the best.

Overall Seth and the crew will bend over backwards to satisfy your every desire.
Ask Seth for the Casa Blanca Special, you wont be disappointed.

“Good Food”
Reviewed April 4, 2013

Food is great and the service is good. There is always good music or a band playing. The selection at the bar is good also, he has all the brand name beers and alcohol for you to enjoy your stay at the Dinghy Dock. At the end of your meal try the bread pudding Seth makes it's the best around.
