We liked the reviews on Trip Advisor and the restaurant was close to the hotel so we thought we would give it a try. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here. We had dinner. It was delicious! We both had the fish special, fresh fish with a curry sauce, rice, sweet potato and a zucchini/goat cheese puff. The apple tart was also delicious. It was large. We only needed to order one, but it was great and we both finished ours. The owner, Martine, also acted as hostess and waiter. She was a pleasure. We definitely recommend a visit to L'Oasis.

What a nice discovery on St Maarten. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Very nice and welcoming hostess and excellent service. You won't feel like a tourist but rather a welcomed guest!

Our group of three couples (and good friends) were treated to a wonderful dinner experience at L'Oasis during our November trip to St. Maartin. Martine, the owner, greeted us warmly as if we were old friends.
The food was very fresh, very good and very French. Everything we had hoped for and more. Every detail was carefully attended to, our white wine was chilled tableside, our appetizers and entrees were perfectly timed and delicious.
The crowning moment in our dinner was our decision about dessert. One apple tart? Or two? We debated. As a group of six, we decided on two to share. We should have ordered 6. For days afterwards our party raved about how fantastic the apple tart was!
Full and happy we asked Martine to call us a cab back to our resort. Instead, she offered to drive us home herself. "Oh, it's not very far!" she explains and was even generous enough to take home half our group, return and take the other half back as well!
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you are on St. Martin/Saint Maartin you simply must go.

The food was awesome. Fried camembert, fish or onion soup as appetizers, decent and affordable wine selection, the salmon and shrimp in coconut curry sauce were to die for. The desserts are awesome. Try the chocolate mouse or fresh hot apple pie.
Even better for families with kids is the fact that they make fresh pizzas from scratch and have very good pastas. The ambiance is great - not too posh - again super great for families who are looking for a combination of excellent French cuisine and want to also keep their young ones happy.
On top of all of this - the owner Martine must be the most friendly person we have met on the island - by far !! She was so inviting that we decided to go back a second time on an island with 100s of top restaurants. Thanks again for a great dinner and your hospitality. We hope to be back some day.

One can not beat the warm welcome of owner "Martine" every time you visit L'Oasis Restaurant in Oyster Pond. My wife and I are regular visitors and are never disappointed with our menu choices or with the friendly care that Martine takes with all of her guests. Comfortable surroundings with the zen-like décor add to the delightful ambience whether you are enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great salad choices, terrific pizzas (don't bypass the smoked salmon pizza !!), wide selection of tasty pastas (had the "tagliatelles aux gambas" at our last visit and it was cooked to perfection with a plentiful serving of shrimp and perfectly cooked asparagus in a delicious cream sauce), large range of fish and meat dishes ("l'entrecote et frites" makes a wonderful bistro meal) - all create a menu that can satisfy all diners' tastes and appetites. Whenever we have visitors to our home in St Martin we always make it a point to take them to L'Oasis. Just a shor drive from Oyster Bay Beach Resort and the Westin Resort at Dawn Beach - makes it a convenient location to experience the true French restaurant atmosphere.(PS - both French and English are spoken by staff and the menu is bilingual - so don't be hesitant to visit due to French language limitations)
