Five of us went to L'Oasis for dinner. Four had the "fresh" red snapper and one the tuna. The snapper was so overcooked and tough, yuck! The person who had the tuna said that he would have preferred a can of "Starkist." Enough said.

In an unassuming location, L'Oasis offers the most delectable cuisine in a casual outdoor setting. Going there once on your vacation week is certainly not enough. The warm goat cheese salad is the most appealing salad I can ever remember. The warmed velvety goat cheese melts in your mouth. Martine, the owner, seats everyone personally and the open kitchen makes the magic of delectable , fish, duck and finest salads on earth, be visible to all. The ambiance is as lovely as Martine. Nightly specials are imaginative and showered with fresh herbs. If you miss this dining pleasure, you will have missed St. Martin. If you go, then you will surely come back to L'Oasis.

This is a good restaurant in Oyster Pond and has been in place under one name or another for 4-5 years. The food is consistently good and the service is island standard. With recent remodel the overall look is improved but the seating remains uncomfortable. The fixed position picnic table type seating doesn't fit anyone. Too close for some...too far away for others and over all uncomfortable. With all the work done to improve this restaurant, the final step is putting in tables and chairs.

We are regulars on St Marteen, and L'Oasis is one resturant that makes it special. We love the food, portions and price. Staff is very friendly, I don't want to give it to high of a rating as we like its privacy and good service.

We just came back from a vacantion at Saint-Maarten. During our 14-days stay we went 5 times to l'Oasis for having diner. The food is excellent and so is the service. All staff was very friendly. My favorite was shrimps with curry and coconut milk. My husbands favorite was the hot apple pie with vanilla ice cream.
We wish Martine all the luck with her restaurant l'Oasis!
