“great time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We went to Tukka's happy hour to watch them feed the Man O Wars (also know as frigates). Our son loved watching all the birds come in, we enjoyed the Happy hour drink and food specials, including the lion fish taco ( a must try!). A lot of fun, and a great way to try the restaurant with a family, since it keeps the kids entertained.

“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We stopped here for lunch on a trip around the island to scout out snorkeling spots (see Testudo's Guide on this site), and were seated on the shady porch overlooking amazing crystal turquoise water. It was well after noon, but we had the place almost to ourselves. We were hungry and cranky, and even before our food arrived we were soothed, just sitting and looking out at the water.

Well, the food arrived and it was wonderful. My 5'1" 90 lb. daughter got the Aussie Burger, which was almost as big as she is. As I recall, it included a fried egg, pineapple slice, beet slice in addition to the beef patty. She very nearly finished it, plus the pretty salad it came with. She made me promise to try to replicate it at home . . . . Right.

I had the fish and chips -- the best and freshest fish I had all vacation. It is a large portion, which was good because I didn't want to stop eating it. I loved the sauce it came with. The fries (sweet potato and regular potato) were just average, tasty enough but nothing special.

My husband and younger daughter both had a chicken pasta dish, which they enjoyed.

The service was quietly efficient, pleasant but not overly friendly. Just right in my opinion.

“Good food, nice location”

Nice location on the porch overlooking the water. Food was pretty good, a bit expensive. We all ate fresh seafood.

“Enjoyable visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

We visited Tukka on a Tuesday evening in mid-March. We enjoyed the tappas menu with our drinks and a good burger after. Pleasant surroundings and a good show at 5:30 when they feed the huge birds on the beach below the balcony seating!

“Great Food and Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

The restaurant is upscale with impressive service. The setting is ocean view/front.
Upon entering we were greeted and sited by the owner, which made a nice impression. The food selection is sufficient and the quality of the food was pretty impressive. We sat inside since the deck was pretty windy. Dinner with drinks for two was about $150. Well spent though.
