There really aren't too many options in the East End aside from the Italian Kitchen, the restaurants at both hotels (the Reef and Morritt's) and Subway (!). There is Vivene's but that's an entirely different eating experience altogether, though an excellent one. As you've probably read, Tukka is a fusion of Australian and West Indie/Caribbean cuisine. I can't immediately tell what is Australian aside from the Kangaroo sausage (which turned out to be pretty good...gamey, smoky flavor and I was happy to try one) but I'm sure you could get tips from your waiter/waitress. Definitely try the Chef's tasting menu or, if you arrive on a Wednesday, the "Walkabout" pre fixe which is well worth the $40CI. I'm not one to normally order steak but the 100% Angus filet was one of the best cuts I've had in a long time, and the medium rare was perfectly medium rare. Save room for the walnut and date pudding. On a less-windy night you might want to ask for a table down on the beach! Friendly, professional staff and a complimentary shuttle (I think to visitors staying in the East End?) help add to a great dining experience.
