“Nice local spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2014

We ordered four different dishes and changed our minds several times during the ordering process, but the waitress was patient during the whole ordeal. Every dish was good. Each meal came with the Cayman standard plantains, bread fruit and rice. The setting overlooking the ocean was nice.

“Authentic cayman food and amazing juice drinks!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2014

Don't come here and order a coke and a burger. You miss out on all the tastes of the caymans if you do. The family stopped here on a safari trip and loved it. We had grouper filet and jerk chicken. We also had the whole list of juice drinks. Mango ginger, tamarind tea, carrot and coconut milk, and sour sop juice were all amazing. A must visit.

“Disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2014 via mobile

Having read some of the reviews I decided to visit. I had high expectations of Caymanian home cooked food in a beautiful setting with personal and friendly service.
On arrival the setting was lovely and relaxed, simple and picturesque.
The scene was nice with an old fashioned seating area inside which was very pretty, as was the outside.
The menu was reasonably priced but quite limited. We ordered chicken and some fries for my son (which did not arrive). My chicken was ok and the sides were really nice. My wife's chicken was incinerated! Can't tell if it was the microwave or oven but the fact that it appeared quite quickly once we had informed the waitress/cook that we hadn't in fact ordered any fish tells the story. She couldn't chew it in the end.
The restaurant was almost empty. We wanted to leave quickly and pick some food up from somewhere so we politely paid the bill, said thanks and got out of there.
If I was living in that part if town I might put it down to a one off and go back but I wouldn't make the effort to travel there when there are a range of similar more reliable venues closer to other parts of the island. That said the lady was very warm and friendly and a nice conversation.

“Got to try the Ox tail!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

Just a simple restaurant in the back of a house but the food is great and typical Cayman hospitality. local meal, ox tail sounds odd but is really good and a must.

“Way over rated.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014

Im the least picky eater you wil ever meet. I eat at all roadside places in every country I go to. The place is nice, on beach, nice waitress, but the food is really below average at best. The food in Jamaica is WAY BETTER and much less expensive. Get the Jerk at the roadside stands in Georgetown if you want good food.
