I have been to very many places in my life and the Casa da Lavandeira is one I really like.
Old style of house shows the history of Portuguese architecture, the rooms are very clean and nice.
The area is very large, it seems peaceful and quiet, even young and old people can find here place where they spend a great time. It’s great for walking around: there are the vineyard, river, the building with old vintage cars, beautiful garden.
In this area there is a swimming pool an old church. . People there, are kind and very helpful. . The atmosphere is magnificent.
The days here were the time I will never forget.

Beautiful and interesting place. The farm is nicely decorated. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The service is great and the owners are very helpful and nice. We enjoyed the walk in the farm by the Douro river.

We were here for a wedding in June. It was the most magical event, besides my own wedding!
The grounds are beautiful and it is so well run. Alexandria and Theresa are such gracious hosts.
They gave us a tour of the grounds and our own little house. If we had any questions, they were their to answer.
Besides being fabulous inn hosts, they are amazing at wedding planning as well. The food, the entertainment, the grounds and I was just a guest!

I definitely would go back here. It's a beautiful setting and a great place to get a feel for Portugal without being in Lisbon or Porto. You can explore the Duoro area and it is not a far drive from Porto.
It's such a peaceful area.
I cannot say enough about the generosity of Alexandria and Theresa. They are so accommodating and lovely. It was a perfect introduction to the graciousness of the Portugese people and the beauty of Portugal.
