“An amazing place”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

On our day out driving around the villages we came across this glass factory and shop. What a great place, we watch the owner put together an amazing light, then into the shop wow. What a lot of glass made into all manner of objects, the lights are incredible, they also make iron pieces.

We bought an iron and glass candle holder for our garden table, they changed the glass cups to a colour we liked, the lady could not be more helpful.

All the items made from glass are from re-cycled glass all on site and lots of it. We noticed when going into Tavernas and shops after, they had their lights, which are very different and unique, like our candle holder.

A must visit we loved it.

“Super products, great experience”
Reviewed April 11, 2013

This is a lovely eco-friendly little industry; all glass is handblown, what an art & skill. Huge stock to choose from, don't expect an organised arranged tour, but if you're lucky you may see the glass blowing in action. Photographers take your cameras, the place is absolutely full with creative photo opps; from the art glass itself, the mountains of wine & pop bottles awaiting re-use, interesting metalwork, an old BMW motorbike....

Why not buy yourself a proper local souvenir of a holiday (instead of the usual tourist tat!) - plenty of small vases available as well as stunning unique light fittings

The glass factory is on the edge of Kokkino Horio village, a few km up the hill from Almyrida & Plaka.

“Beautiful recycled glass”
Reviewed February 1, 2012

With little recycling apparent on Crete it was delightful to find this place that takes waste glass and produces items of beauty. We first saw these products in Chania in an expensive boutique but there was so much choice in the factory and it was fun to see so much creativity.
