Chose this motel because of its location at the north end of Troyes.
It is brand new, the builders are still on site.
The room is big and the tiled floor and lairy bedspread are a copy of the motel I stayed at in Troyes 2 years ago.
Because it is so new some things are in need of fine tuning.
There is no fridge in the room or ice machine at reception.
The internet security login didn't come up as expected and I suspect there may have been a security vulnerability with a way things were. Hotmail would not let me log in because they found the log in from France unexpected. Logging in from UK the previous day was OK!!
More frustrating was the fact that though logged into a Yahoo.co.uk email address, when I selected a news item to read the browser immediately jumped to Yahoo France..
There were no concessions for English speaking tourists. There were no bi-lingual signage anywhere, the first time I have noticed it in France.
When finished this will be a great motel. The tariff was certainly reasonable.

Obviously in the final throws of a development to enlarge itself, a fantastic location on the main roundabout and a fun grill bar restaurant next door. The rooms were new, I think we were the first to stay in this room in the new block, and there is loads of parking. Breakfast is typical French and satisfactory, staff helpful and Troyes is absolutely worth an hour of your time. Just drive in and around the old part, it is exceptionally charming! You can imagine the 3 Musketeers arriving on horse back!
All good for the stopover enroute to Spain! Would I go back?, I would probably choose a Logis with it's own restaurant, perhaps 2 castles + but a great location nevertheless and secure parking was a must!

This Logis offers the usual features of affordable functional clean accommodation but lacks the unique culinary or charm benefits that are the usual Logis hallmark. Breakfast is provided in-house but other meals are provided in a restaurant next door and you are provided with a discount voucher. However, this Logis special feature is the very large designer outlet village at the end of the road so you can indulge in some serious retail therapy in your stopover enroute to the south of France.

I'm surprised this is a Logis albeit it boasts just one chimney. Whenever I have gone to a Logis in the past I have been impressed by quality of accommodation (even though, frequently, quite simple) and food. In this case it is new, under construction, motel accommodation that has no restaurant attached although there is a restaurant next door.

The accommodation was very basic but, I suppose, adequate. The staff were very helpful, very polite and informative. The accommodation was not expensive and served it's purpose but failed completely to live up to my expectation of a "Logis" which was the reason I booked it. The following night I stayed in a "Logis" that fully lived up to my expectations - thank goodness.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing away from construction site and business park or you will have a very early alarm call whether you want it or not.
