“Food with a view”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

With a stunning view on the Ria d'Étel Les Algues Marines is the place to be among French families on holiday. Langoustines, mussels, oysters washed away with nice pichets of rosé & white wines keep you busy while enjoying the swift service of the beautiful crew. Dad's behind the counter conducting coffees and spirits. This great place is where you want to end the day.

“Where are the Brits?”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

This is a really picturesque venue and judging from the number of people, a popular venue for French holidaymakers. The mussels and oysters were going out of the door at a rate of knots. There is a short and sharp menu with many items like whelks and langoustines available dependent on delivery/supply and when waiting to pay it was noticeable that a lot of customers seemed to be regulars. We just had a salad and an omelette and these were excellent but it is a place with a great outlook and tranquil and historic setting. Good dedication to local products, we have inexplicably drinking San Pellegrino mineral water in France, no such choice here - local Breton water and no Coke in sight - Breizh Cola only. We enjoyed being pathfinders for the many British visitors to Brittany as no English reviews to date.
