Rainy, slippery and cloudy when we drove up there. But, boy, that place didn't disappoint me. Surrounded by high cliffs and rocks. I enjoyed it a lot. There was only one restaurant but prices were surprisingly affordable, considering the location. Love it and would love to go back there when it's sunny and hot...Oh, make sure you bring beach products. A must. I didn't see a store nearby except that one restaurant...Cheers!

One of the most beautiful beaches of this region, a very nice place to rest and enjoy nature. A wonderful and calm beach, no crowded and nice to enjoy watersports and fishing.

High bluffs and cliffs surround a spectacular Atlantic beach with stunning waves and even a natural tunnel. Don't place your towels in the falling rocks area! Lifeguards and great sand. Challenging, cold swimming most of the time--we enjoyed watching surfers and getting wet up to our knees. Best for sunbathing, wading in surf foam, nature, and a few other people but no crowd, at least on a week-end in June. Served by one snack-bar, one patio, one restaurant, one road, one parking area: no hassles. The bluffs shade the beach in the morning and make the best setting from mid-day on.... Have been there three or four times since 2004 and it has always been a highlight of visits to Portugal.
