The staff at the Lodge are helpful and kind. The family running the Lodge have established a nice getaway here: beautiful and peaceful. Spacious huts, beds have mosquito nets, doors can be locked. The Lodge is literally next door to Cat Tien National Park (just across a river with no bridge), but getting here from Saigon is difficult if you carry luggage that cannot fit on a motorbike taxi. Nearest public bus stop is Tan Phu, 24 km away. The local car taxi company speaks no English; when we called, he said "no English" and hung up. It took 4 calls until the taxi company agreed to send a taxi.
The park was disappointing. We were going on the Gibbon Trek tour at 4 AM. When the boatman didn't turn up (so we couldn't get to the park), the staff at Green Bamboo woke up and helped us.
Why isn't this a 5/5 review, then? Because Cat Tien - the park, the town - isn't ready for tourists yet. The area's infrastructure is very low (as of 2014): a bridge to the park and a stable mode of transportation here would do wonders.
The people running the park seemed hostile to tourists: refused to cater us in restaurants, suddenly 20-doubled bicycle rent. However, if/when the park improves, Green Bamboo Lodge will be THE place to stay near Cat Tien.
