In a beautiful terrace, looking at the garden, we enjoyed this tasting menu, starting with the local cocktail, then we continued with a splendide pessac-leognan. The meals were served in a perfect timing, light, tasty, with a great mix of traditional flavors. This is what we were looking for: creativity within the tradition.

We enjoyed refined, subtle dishes based on excellent ingredients, creatively combined. Service was pleasant, professional and unobtrusive. The full experience was delightful, a real pleasure.

I'd give this place 0, not even 1 - if I could. We didn't have chance to experience their food, but only their un-hospitality.
We like France and the last 15 years we travel very extensively through France. We know that on Friday, Saturday and Sunday it is mandatory to have a reservation for lunch, on other days - it is better to have, but not so essential for most places. We were close to Gazeran and decided to stop for lunch at this place we found in our guide and which had very good reviews. We came around 12:15-12:30. The restaurant was nearly empty. The restaurant has 2 eating areas (as far as we could see) - inside and outside - both pretty sizeable. Inside was completely empty - no single table was occupied, outside some tables were occupied and some were not. Despite all these available seats we were told that they cannot accommodate 2 people for lunch without reservation. We could understand if they had some tables reserve for big party, it was not the case here - we didn't see any tables set up for party, we also didn't see any tables inside or outside had note "Reserved". So the only reason we can think of not being served is that we spoke English, not French. If they don't want to deal with tourists they shouldn't display Tripadvisor logo, shouldn't be included into guides and then they won't have tourists at all because we will never know about them

Dear (almost) customers,
We saddly have just received our first « terrible » review on Tripadvisor, it is even more terrible to accept on behalf of people who did not even lunch in our house.
In the first place: we are always delighted to welcome foreign clientele which is generally of the most charming.
Secondly: who are you to know if the restaurant is complete or not. The great majority of our clientele manage to have lunch between 1:00 pm and 1:15 pm if the restaurant doesn’t look full to you this explains it.
Thirdly: if you chose to come to have lunch at the Villa Marinette it is because you were able to notice through numerous guides the good reviews our customers writte about us. We manage this beautiful place as a couple for now over 15 years and you should know that all our employees and ourselves work every day with professionalism and pleasure to welcome the customers.
At last, our terrace and our dining room can contain each 11 tables for around thirty people each. We have chosen to never open both places at the same time, we are structured and organized to welcome with professionalism and kindness about thirty clients more than this number would not allow us to take the best care of our customers.
We do our job with passion, do you really think it would be our interest to refuse clients when the restaurant is not full ? However, if telling you politely that our restaurant is complete makes you mad enough to judge the quality of our restaurant on the worst way on internet, we consider that no one nor anything will be able to satisfy you.

Spent the perfect Sunday afternoon at La Marinette. My girlfriend and I were given a warm welcome by Mrs Bourgeois. She was keen to find out where we were from - not everday you have a Brit and a Mexican come to your restaurant.

Steak was cooked to perfection, cheese board was massive and the Paris Brest was the icing on the cake.

Wine by the glass is also excellent. We were invited to take our coffees in front of the fire. If youl would like a quiet time then there are two rooms to eat in, the quiet one has carpet in it.

You could almost miss this restaurant on the road from Rambouillet to Gazeran, but don't! The food is delicious, the service attentive and the ambiance is tranquil and refined. On the pricey side but well worth it.
