“EXCELLENT!”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

my other half and I were gifted a 2 night stay here as an early Christmas present and how amazing this place was! The staff were courteous, friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable of local area, the view from our room was AMAZING and the food was delicious! The breakfast was freshly cooked and tasty and the dinner was out of this world! I had the lamb and it was soft and tender and well seasoned as was the gravy and the sides. The bar was relaxed and the swimming pool and hydropool were relaxing and a great bonus to the stay. We visited in winter so after long walk i the cold countryside the hydropool and Jacuzzi were perfect!
Our room was clean and spacious and had the little extra things we needed and the temperature was perfect coming in from the cold.
You need a car to access it but its well worth it, secluded enough but within a short drive to local amenities in Bunbeg this place is well and truly worth a visit. It was the perfect little getaway :)

Room Tip: Try for a front facing room for views of Errigal from your window.

We love Donegal and came on up to watch some of the Trad music performances during the last Frankie Kennedy School. But the hotel had up to three sessions going at a time in the pub or great room. One had 10 fiddles along with everything else!

Kids playing, movie stars and ex cabinet ministers in attendance all while being pretty low key. Oh, and did we mention it was the best traditional Irish music we have ever seen.

The hotel was clean, just fixed up. Pub food was just OK, we got to breakfast late so it was mostly gone but that was our fault. A beautiful lake just out the front door and our window.

We also toured the coast and the base of Errigal a bit but it was pretty boggy and wet this time of year.

The music school/performances will go on next year but under a different name. This is the place to be!

We stayed here over half term in October or three nights with our three children aged 9,9 and 8.
Overall we had a good experience, the family room was excellent, a huge room and three double beds. Unfortunately the pool was very busy, especially on the first day, no towels available although the staff were helpful and they located some eventually. children are only allowed in half the pool and half of that was closed off for swimming classes so it meant everyone was jammed in one tiny area. The situation improved the next few days as the lessons had stopped.
Our dinner was very good and the children were also well catered for.
Breakfast again was very busy and they ran out of croissants and muesli etc very early on, I don't think the hotel was prepared for the numbers and probably will be more organised next holiday time.
Overall we had a Good stay and the weather was good, it was certainly very good value.
THere was a kids club but my children weren't keen to go unfortunately.

Just back from weekend in An Chuirt. Our son was married there a few years ago and we were returning with our new granddaughter. A wee dote!! Six of us plus baby! All on a Living Social Voucher! And what value! Wonderful food worthy of a five star restaurant, friendly helpful staff, huge clean and comfortable bedrooms, great bar, excellent pool and gym facilities and all in the most beautiful location. Thanks all in An Chuirt for a great weekend!

This is the second time we have visited An Chuirt Hotel and i'm please to say we weren't disappointed. We went on the Living Social Deal and the value for money was fantastic. The Hotel is comfortable and rooms were large, spacious and spotless. The food was delicious and I can honestly say the facilities were great. The swimming pool is large compared to some pools I have seen in some hotels. There is a hairdressers on site (tho I didnt use it) and a lovely soft play area for children. Would love to go back for another visit.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 121 with was large and spacious though it did look onto the leisure centre at the...

Relaxing comfortable hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful heated pool with huge hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Although we did not use the gym, I believe it was very extensive. Most relaxing break. Well worth a visit. The restaurant food was superb.
