My last visit was 1st February 2013, and it was my third visit inside a year. The hydrotherapy pool is fantastic, the food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The local beaches are beautiful, overall I couldnt find fault with it. The bar isnt very busy, but you make your own craic. Great gym and beauty salon. I find it a great place to unwind if you want to really unwind.

I stayed here for my sisters wedding. Its a beautiful hotel but the surrounding area is the real draw. North Donegal is an amazing place to visit, with beautiful scenery everywhere you look. Great base to explore if you have a car.

An excellent experience with quality food and professional staff also, never to hard to meet your needs. A great location for touring, at the foot of the tallest mountain in the county and very close to local attractions, Great gym too

I stayed at this hotel for 2 days with my boyfriend as part of a trip around Ireland. The staff and friendly and the food in the restaurant was of a good standard. The leisure centre was really nice with a good sized pool and the salon had a wide range of beauty treatments available. The view of Mount Errigal is fantastic and there are lots of places to visit in the local area that will make the trip worthwhile.

We stayed here in November 2012 and March 2012 on Living Social Deals. Yes we liked it that much the first time we went back.
Where do start? Well the location of this hotel is spectacular. In the lakes and mountains of the north of Donegal it doesnt get better than this.
The Spa with its Jacuzzi,Sauna,Steam Room and Hydro pool is just dreamy and in the cold of November was the perfect place to relax.
We upgraded the one course meal and glass of wine each to the four course meal with a bottle of wine, worth every penny, the food was first class. The buffett breakfast was ideal for us and again the food was brilliant.
The wee bar serves amazing bar snakes in a cosy atmosphere with occassional entertainment.
What really sets this hotel apart is its excellent customer service. The first time we stayed the room was massive, with TWO double beds and so much space and a clean and comfortable bathroom. But we would have liked a better view so the second time we requested a room with a view and for no extra charge, must have been one of the best views in the hotel with the lakes and mountains from our window,it made our time there even more special.
If your considering booking this hotel and your unsure if you should then bear this in mind, we have stayed here twice in one year a total of four nights and made our mind up not that we MIGHT go back again next year but that we WILL go back again, its that great a place to stay.
As a conclusion,we have stayed in many hotels around Ireland in many locations and this is our favourite so far.

Room Tip: Request a room with a view over the lakes and mountains just amazing.

This hotel was running a Living Social deal offering two nights B&B and one evening meal for £101. Took up the offer and booked for last weekend. We arrived fairly late at around 8.45pm and were shown into the restaurant. There was one other couple besides ourselves. The Living Social special menu was good and we opted to pay extra for the steaks and we also ordered a starter. Both courses were very good. We also ordered a bottle of wine from the well priced wine list
After dinner we got the keys for our room from reception. The room however had a bad smell and outside our door was a large vending machine giving of a loud hum so we went back to reception and asked to be moved. The second room was better but very plain. It had a nice view of the lake/lough. There was a slight smell of urine from the bathroom. After unpacking we went down to the bar expecting it to be busy as the car park was quite full but there were only five or six other guests
The next morning breakfast was set up in the function room buffet style. The room was warm and stuffy and the food quite poor.
There are no pubs or shops within walking distance but a short drive will take you to Bunbeg and on round the coast to Bloody Foreland.
The weather was so bad that we decided not to spend the second night at the hotel.
This is an average hotel. The corridors leading to the bedrooms are painted a cheap pink colour. Lots of the fitting and fixtures are also at the lower end of things. It was the middle of winter but there wasn't an open fire, surprising for Donegal. The bar was devoid of atmosphere. But I suppose for £100 what was I expecting?
