“Good breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2013

I went here with a bunch of friends on a Sunday morning (it opens at 10.30am) as a hangover cure...They have a basic menu of cooked breakfast options but it did the job and was very nice. The staff are very helpful, including extending a table by the window for us even though there were plenty of other tables we could have sat at, and also making my friend a soya milkshake which wasn't on the menu.

What really impressed us is the nice decor and feel to the place. It's a lovely place to go for an hour or too, very relaxing. I'd like to go back for lunch / afternoon tea to try out their other food and drinks.

“Family friendly café for Guardian readers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012 via mobile

Relish is a café that caters for all tastes. Sensible grown up area on the left. Buggy friendly area on the right for yummy mummies and their babies.

The food and coffee is very good. One grumble is the menu is rather limited; more choice even just with the sandwiches and ciabattas would nice. And it's shame there isn't more deli-type food for sale, such as continental meats etc. But hey, it's still a great place to relax and pass the time.

The simple but stylish decor makes this a haven for Guardian readers and Channel 4 news viewers. Who'd have thought Beeston was ready for that?

“Friendly, clean and tasty!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2012

I went on Saturday morning for coffee and cake with my wife and two young children.

You approach the cafe on a fairly busy road with some on street parking. The front of the cafe is very elegantly designed and stands above most of the other establishments on Chilwell Road.

The cafe is airy, spacious and very well laid out. There are sofas and a more family friendly area to one side of the cafe, whilst on the other side of the cafe there are tables and chairs for more formal diners.

One of the things I loved the most was that there is a bookcase FILLED with beautiful cookbooks for general perusal whilst you spend time within the cafe. My family lost me to Nigella for a good 45 minutes!

The staff were really friendly, engaging with the children and overall very helpful.

The food was great. A huge selection of cakes, cupcakes and other things which made making my decision what to have a very difficult one! I had a slice of blueberry and lemon cake which was moist and delicious. My wife had a SLAB of chocolate cake which was also divine. The coffee was great too which always helps.

When the bill came we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable prices too.

In summary, great place, very clean, family friendly and great quality food.

“Good food cafe with style”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2012

We had ice cream and drinks here but the food looked really good and not bad prices. There are lots of nice touches of style around the cafe and the servers are very friendly.

“Another good dining option in Beeston”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012 via mobile

Popped in one Thursday evening for the weekly Tapas evening. Disappointingly not a large selection of tapas, but what we had was well presented and delicious. We started with bruschetta followed by a sharing Italian meats board, and then a sharing cheese board. The cheese board in particular had very interesting cheeses on it. Service very good, though admittedly not many people in. With a couple of glasses each of the house wine, some sparkling water (would have been good to have been offered ice as it was a warm evening), it was around £50 for the 2 of us. One hopes it survives the tram works to have another opportunity to visit.
