Though not the finest Italian cuisine(e.g. salmon risotto more like rice pudding with salmon lumps and tough asparagus) this is the place for a family meal out with the kids who really are less concerned with the quality of food than socializing with their young rels. Tomato caprese had under ripe tomatoes and absent basil or even a decent balsamic - pretty simple and normally excellent way to start a meal. But it highlighted the standard of cuisine here. If it weren't for the ambience this would yet only three stars.
