We've stayed in two rooms and both were wonderful, wooden cabins with everything you need and nothing you don't. Water dispenser in your room and lovely lemongrass shower gel. The walk to your room from reception is along the river through jungle with a beautiful cliff right next to you. The only sounds you'll hear are natural ones.
They offer a great range of activites, all well organised and reasonably priced. Staff will also arrange transfers for you, very easy!
Tubing is a must, with spectacular views.
The lake trip is also not one to miss, with mountains covered in tropical rainforest rising out of the lake. We did the one day tour.
Every meal we had in the restaurant was delicious.
There are some great short nature trails around the surrounding jungle, where we've seen some of the local Long Tailed Macaques (monkeys, always in family troops), lizards and other wildlife.

Room tip: Riverside views were fab on some, bungalows were just as good as the treehouses, just smaller.

If you want an authentic experience, then by all means, book this hotel! However, I did not like that there was no AC and the windows were not closed off to outside insects, including mosquitoes. A high-pitched animal also woke me up in the middle of the night, and since there were no windows it sounded like it was right by the bed. The hotel is also rather far from the rest of town, making the walk to restaurants very far. On the plus side, the staff are very friendly and will help you book whatever you need.

We were here with two small children to work, relax, and do some limited sightseeing. Our stay in the two story tree house was exactly what we were looking for. Our balconies had an unobstructed view of the small river flowing by. Macaque monkeys would show up across the river in the mornings and evenings, but didn't disturb us or come in our house. The food is as good as anywhere else in town and is priced about the same as well. The front desk can arrange about any tour available as well as transportation. Laundry service was about $ 0.50 more per kilo than "in town" but the uncharge is absolutely worth the convenience. There was a mix of singles, couples, and families as well. Having other families around made us feel less-bad about when our kids might have woken up in the night ;) No air-conditioning, but the three fans did the job just fine.

Our family loved this place. Our kids walked around the concrete paths at night discovering bugs, wildlife and strange plants. It was really neat. The rooms don’t have air conditioning and it was very hot but we come from a colder climate. The river rafting is fun too. The staff are very friendly.
