We stayed in a cliff view bungalow, basic but fine. Away from the village centre and in the jungle. Staff very friendly and the food tasty. Easy to organise tours to the local Khao Sok park and onward travel. The one night lake tour was good but very basic.
Take a head lamp if you go out at night and don't leave food in the room, some type of creature enjoyed it more than us.

Avoid this place at all costs, the staff are disgustingly rude and the tree houses do not look like how they do in the picture. The staff are the main issue here I've never met such rude people in my life, the manager at reception was an absolutely extremely rude person, there was no service whatsoever. If you want to be around rude staff by all means then you will like this place, however like the most of us we appreciate basic customer service and this place lacked it! Disgusting.

Thank you for your honest feedback about our resort staff. I am incredibly sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with us here and that our customer service did not meet your standards. Your experience was unusual, and equally traumatic for our staff. We apologize for incorrectly quoting the price of the “hands-on village visit” tour that is offered by a nearby community group. After contacting the community group, they agreed to kindly provide the tour at the price originally quoted.

It is understandable for you to be upset with our staff for this mistake, but your hosts in the village were confused by your unhappy demeanor. Community tourism is about respectful interaction, and we are sorry that mutual respect was absent from your time here.

We are always working toward making our guest experience the best it can be and customer feedback is an important part of making it happen. Thanks again for the helpful comments and terribly sorry that your stay was not enjoyable.

We just escaped from all beaches and stayed 3 nights there.. it is little far from Phuket airport and compare to khao lak, you have to go 1.5h more by taxi... it is really in deep jungle side and you feel quite relaxing .... offered tour was not so bad, Indeed it is not related to each house... all the resorts there share peoples for interested tours. so you will have same tour levels and quality regardless of where do you stay..
staff all were kind and food was delicious..

Room Tip: we stayed at Jungle house 2. it was not nice.. I think all houses are located in good points and you...

While eco resorts aren't for everyone, Our Jungle House in Khao Sok offers the chance to relax in a jungle setting in the beautiful Khao Sok National Park.

I believe that Our Jungle House was one of (if not) the first of the Eco style resorts in this area and offers a range of treetop and bungalow style accommodation adjacent to the Khao Sok river.

Accommodation is basic but comfortable in keeping with eco style and standards and there is a bar/restaurant on site.

Thailand can be a very noisy place and the aspect of this resort that made a deep impression on me was the peace and quiet of the setting broken only by the sounds of the jungle.

We enjoyed staying at this place because of it's tranquility and calm. We stayed at one of their treehouses which was facing the river and beautiful. The gentleman at the front desk (who I believe owns the place) and the young Thai gentleman (whose name I shamefully have forgotten) at the front desk (during the day and the bar at night), were very kind. The restaurant staff on the other hand were not the greatest. First night at the restaurant we thought, maybe it's been a long day and the waitress is tired. But unfortunately her attitude not only did not improve but even got worst! Which is fine. What left us with a really bad taste was our departure. when we asked the "Our Jungle House" staff about our transportation options out of Khao Sok (in to Krabi), we were told about a shared minibus service. The price was attractive so we decided to take it! Well! After five different stops and picking up different people (which is totally fine), we drove for a while and then we stopped at a public bus station!!!! We were told to get off of the minibus to wait for a transfer. We got off and watched the clean minibus fade in the distance!!! Here we were staring into the crowd in the most chaotic place I have EVER seen! A good 80 people, tourist and otherwise, were standing around waiting for a ride! A female tourist who seemed to have been there for a while (from her frustration) asked when her bus is coming and she was shouted at in English and Thai! One hour and some later we were on the most wrecked vehicle I have ever seen called a minibus, where our luggage containing our Scuba Regulators was literally thrown on the roof before we had a chance to say anything! An hour and some later in this uncomfortable drive, we were dropped off at our hotel in Krabi... The worst part of all this is the fact that we explained to the treehouse staff that we are booked to take a boat in Krabi and we have no time to waste, but still we were re-assured that we will make it there on time no problem! Well, we didn't!
So, my tip for you: go there for the ambiance and the experience if you choose to, not the world known Thai hospitality reputation!
Oh, and unless you have ton of your vacation time to waste, do not take the "shared" minibus followed by "public transportation"!!!!

We're very glad to hear you enjoyed our front desk service while at the resort, and we are terribly sorry to hear that you were given less than satisfactory service in our restaurant and that our transfer failed to meet your standards. We work to find the best quality among our service providers for transfers, but this does not fit our expectations. We will be following up with the company that provided the transport and work to ensure that these experiences do not happen to future guests. Thank you for your honest feedback, and we hope that you enjoy the rest of your trip.

Recommended by friends, read about in NatGeo magazine, Our Jungle House lived up to our expectations. Even though we booked well in advance (September for April stay) we still had to move treehouse 3 times. It gave us a chance to test several of the accomodations. Our friends recommended Takian, as it used to be the last one and would give the best Jungle experience, but since some additional houses have been built ( a bit too close imho) I would recommend Half Moon for a family.
For older children the sunlight/sunrise combination may be a great option too.
Half moon is close to the "club house" and to the beech and nicely located without any neighbours too close.
The food is amazing. We ate among the best food in Thailand here, all freshly home cooked.
The tours on offer are good, we did the family day, a half day hike and the elephants which was well worth it. We also did a cookery class and the kids were entertained with palmleave weaving which they enjoyed very much. A very enjoyable experience at a local family. Further more the lake tour is recommended but if you are with kids make sure you wait for one where they visit a family friendly cave as one cave is not suitable for kids and you have to wait on the lake for 3 hours.
We stayed for 5 nights and had a great time although most people stay for 3 or 4. Truely recommend this place, very beautifull resort which feels luxurous like a 4-5 star but without the frills of airco and television. All huts are clean and comfortable.

Stayed for 3 days which was probably a day too long. This is a great eco location. The tree houses and bungalows are well set out. Accommodation is nice but basic, no air con, no hot water, sporadic electricity and internet. Very popular location to meet other travellers and the place and staff were very well organised. Couple of top tips, bring enough cash as they dont do credit cards. Do not take ANY food in your rooms, otherwise you will end up with all sorts of visitors you dont want from ants to monkeys!. Also if you do the lake trip dont wear anything your not prepared to get soaked. The say walking shoes but you can get away with sport saddles, flipflops are a big no. You can take cameras as the guide will have a drybag.
