“great experience”

where else can you stay in a place that feels like 4 or 5 stars but be in a treehouse? this little secret gem of a place is amazing. its all open air with mosquito nets which made me skeptical but turned out great. stayed in the cliff house it seemed quieter, great wifi signal, close to river but not too close so less likely to encounter monkeys in your open air bathroom. it was DEEP off the main road which was great way to experience the jungle. 15-20 min walk to "town" just super!

Room Tip: Cliffhouses are the best

I loved Our Jungle House <3 The room was pretty with mosquito nets and open air bathrooms, neat experience! The grounds were AMAZING! I loved the little "beach" by the river. I spent an entire day reading beside the river and enjoying watching the monkeys come down the cliff to play in the water. I also swam in the river, it was pretty deep in some spots, so nice! it's about an hour drive to Cheow Larn lake, we did a day tour there and it was amazing!! The restaurant on this property was fabulous as well :)

Lovely treehouses, esp the Romance tree house where we stayed. We woke up to the sound of a bird chirping! Albeit the place gets some getting used to (at night), but its an amazing hideaway and a must stay if you're in Khao Sok. The staff was really helpful and went out of their way to allow us in their kitchen since we didn't quite get along with Thai food (clean kitchen!). The acco rates are a steal!

In local attractions, the hotsprings could be given a pass. A trip to the Cheow Lang lake is a must do! Would love to come again and stay muchhhh longer :)

Room Tip: Romance tree house!

We came by regular bus from Phuket , the journey took about 3.5 hours, took the taxi to the hotel. Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and 1 night at the Lake hotel. Great experience! Middle in nature, surrounded by sounds of different birds, river and cicadas. We stayed in Mango and Jungle houses - both wonderful, very clean and environment friendly. The one thing made as scary the last evening- snakes we met next to the restaurant, after that we recognised that we are in the real jungle. The food in restaurant was one of the best we eat during our trip.

After a rather restless overnight train journey from Bangkok which resulted in us falling out of the train in haste at Surat Thani we arrived after an 1.5 hour minibus ride at Khao Sok National Park. The train arrived at 4:30am and it Wadworth staying awake en route to watch the scenery change from plains to jungled Karsts. The staff at Our Jungle House performed a miracle by calling the train station at Trang (where our train was due to terminate) and asking them to check our daughter's bunk for her beloved blue plushy BooBoo - left there in our rush to get off the train. Amazingly enough he turned up and was delivered back to us 36 hours later (I doubt that would have happened with BR!) Anyway the treehouse we were in (Liana) was the furthest away from the restaurant but all the better for it. furnished with bunkbeds and a double bed (we had one more put-me-up added) each bed was spotlessly clean and equipped with excellent mosquito nets. The outdoor bathroom proved attractive to the local monkeys who surprised our daughter by rummaging in the bin whilst she was in there! We went on a nighttime jungle walk andcsaw lots of poisonous, large creepy crawlies and a brilliant canoe trip down the river surrounded by gorgeous scenery. The only downside was the food wasn't great but satisfactory nonetheless.

We stayed here for 2 nights and our 3rd night was at the Lake House. Bodhi greeted us upon arrival, and made us feel very welcome. The tree houses were beautiful just as they were depicted in the pictures. We highly recommend the "Half Moon" tree house as it overlooks the river. There is tons of wildlife and a great lounging spot by the river. The food was delicious at the hotel restaurant. We did the Elephant Trekking excursion which was great. After our 2nd night we headed to the Lake House. If you have room in your itinerary you should definitely book this! We had so much fun there, staying right on the water, taking a guided trip through the Nam Talu cave. If you go on this trip, the Nam Talu cave is the one to go to, with rivers, fish, bats, it was amazing! This is a great family run hotel! I highly recccomend staying here!

Room Tip: Half Moon Tree House!!!

This place is one of the most interesting hotel I have stay, you are in the middle of the jungle , just short walk distance from the National park and the river passes right next to you.
One thing that I really like about this place is that they care about the environment so their rooms are Eco friendly. There is no AC, hot water, TV or WiFi in the rooms ( but you can get WiFi at the restaurant) but you are in the middle of the jungle! so for me it was part of the experience, you don't miss it when you are surrounding by nature .
The rooms are clean and the staff is really nice and friendly! and the food is really good and cheap. They help us book tours to the lake and transportation to Phuket airport at good price.
