The nice little jungle huts do not have window panes, but the bed come with mosquito nets so thick it feels a little like sleeping in a canpoy bed. Staff is really lovely and helpful, they help arranging trips quickly and efficiently. We had to leave quite early in the morning before the kitchen opened but nevertheless they prepared a little breakfast for us. The food is really delicious. Do not expect to stay in the middle of the jungle far from civilization, there are lots of hotels and bungalows around it. It's more like "jungle for beginners". Do bring earplugs: Monkeys, birds, crickets and other bugs make one hell of a noise during the night.

We're glad to hear you enjoyed your stay! In regards to the window panes, our two older houses, Thai House and Hideaway Treehouse, have wooden windows but the rest of the rooms have glass windows. Thank you for tipping future travelers about bringing earplugs. Though many guests enjoy the sounds of the jungle at night, it can get quite loud sometimes! The helpful advice is much appreciated :)

We loved hanging at Our Jungle House. Really beautiful setting under soaring karst cliffs, fanstastic treehouse bungalows with excellent accommodation. Sure there's no aircon or hot showers, but that's the point - this is a jungle adventure. All the guides were excellent - Eddie and all the gang do a fantastic job.
The half-day Khao Sok trek was great fun, had we more time definitely would have gone done full day. Elephant rides were a highlight of our whole Thailand trip, and we loved the overnight stay at the lakes on the floating bungalows. Roughish facilities (see previous post) were a very small price to pay for the fantastic cave tour and the genuine fun of sleeping on the lake.
Food at both the Jungle House restaurant and the Lakes was delicious, and the settings of both are just lovely. Also loved seeing Macaques, Dusky Langurs, and hearing the Gibbons chatting.
Speaking of chatting, we also found the staff at Our Jungle House were more than helpful - not only were the house staff warm and friendly, but the office staff - Bodhi, Austin and Nick were really fantastic in helping us work out our next steps, and they all had extensive knowledge of the region.
Great stuff, thanks guys, we loved it!

Room Tip: We stayed in Takien Bungalow, great setting

We booked two nights here, but on recommendation of the staff to take a lake trip, only stayed one night.

The room we booked -- Jungle House 1 -- was fine, basic and clean. However, the fan they provided didn't do any good at night since it was blocked by the mosquito net for the bed. The top of the mosquito net (where the fan blew) wasn't so much a net as a thick piece of fabric, so no air got through. Needless to say, it was a very uncomfortable and hot night. The bed was also 2 twins pushed together.

The resort itself is pretty cute. We went swimming in the river, just a skip away from our bungalow.

Most guests end up eating at the restaurant on the premises, since the resort is pretty far away from the main town. We found the food to be good.

We spent some time talking to the staff about what excursions to do and they highly recommended the lake tour. I read mixed reviews about it online so was hesitant, but the staff kept telling us how great it was to be "rocked asleep on the water". Ha! The place we went was awful. It was beyond basic, very dirty, no service and shared bathrooms that scared our neighbors so much that I never even made it up there (for the entire 18 hour period we were there). I can't understand how they would recommend this place. We went with a family who was also staying at the resort and they had the same reaction. (Our jungle house even told them not to bring towels to the lake house because they would be provided, and when we got there, they refused to give anyone towels!)

Thanks for the kind words about the resort, and the honest feedback on the lake trip.
We apologize for the poor condition of the rafthouse - we meant to send you a pleasant overnight excursion, but instead, the standards of the rafthouse turned out to be unacceptable.
I contacted the rafthouse and asked them what happened with regards to the service, the cleanliness, and the towels. Since the rafthouse is locally operated, the manager had returned to nearby Takun village for the April holiday, leaving a less experienced staff to look after your group.
Nonetheless, we should have checked more carefully with the rafthouse before your visit, and I am sorry about the quality of the rafthouse, and for making your second night in Khao Sok less enjoyable than it should have been. In the future, we will call to check the necessary staff are present.
We appreciate the frank review, and it will help us to improve the quality of our lake trips, and to make sure that our pre-trip information is accurate.

We stayed in the Romance Tree House for 3 nights, which had a lovely setting next to the river – perfect for a dip after trekking through the jungle. The Tree House was nice and clean, with a mosquito net and fan over the bed. The outdoor bathroom was fine, although the cold showers took a little getting used to, especially in the morning! We even had a resident frog and lizard for our time there. The restaurant offered good value for money and excellent quality food, plus free Wi-Fi.

The nature trail nearby was a good introduction to the jungle, taking around 40 minutes to complete the circuit. The staff at the resort were helpful, and had useful information about the local area. They checked in with us each evening to see how our visit was going and if we needed anything.

The Jungle House is the last stop in the park, and it’s around 20 minutes walk to the minimart and other hotels/restaurants. We booked the elephant trekking and lake excursion through one of the other hotels, as it was a better deal. The transfers from Our Jungle House were really expensive to Phuket, so we hopped on the public bus which was 180 baht, rather than 2000 baht for a private minivan.

The lack of a/c and jungle noises are things to consider, but wouldn’t stop us from returning to Or Jungle House.

Room Tip: The Romance Tree House had a lovely view over the river.

We arrived straight from Bangkok after a bit of an ordeal getting their. But from the moment we stepped into Our Jungle House from the moment we left, everything was a pleasure. I believe it is the last set of accommodation on that road and therefore the deepest into the jungle and perhaps most intrigueing.

We stayed in the jungle huts which looked newly built, very clean and well presented with new mosquito nets. No real issues with bugs and jungle creatures etc. Clean spacious bathroom with cold showers. Just off the front there is a small river with huge limestone backdrop that you can swim in and relax (we got caught in a tropical shower, loved it).

Evening and night is delightful, nicely lit up an food was delicious and reasonable price. Little upstairs bar for drinks and board games. Ah and a little jungle route around the accommodation or you to explore.

Not a bad word to say, it was a delight!
