I stayed in a bungalow relatively close to the restaurant. I would not recommended it due to noise really early in the morning and throughout the day. There seem to be some side hussle business going on at the property, which is incredibly loud.

I'm.not sure why they call themselves eco. The fact you don't have an aircon and provide drinking water in a massive plastic bottle doesn't really make you much of an eco resort.

There is a lot of staff around but the restaurant service is slow, the reception staff ignore you and don't particularly try to be nice.

The food is ok but nothing to write home about. I'd recommend taking a 15mins walk to the village, much better choices there and for far less.

Their tours are nothing special. They are not specific to the resort. They will put you with a bunch of other people from hotels nearby. The elephant tour was depressing. There is nothing eco about how these animals are treated. Do a quick search. There's a truly eco friendly elephant experience nearby.

The manager ignores customers and only hangs out with her friends. I'd recommend reading other negative reviews here and seeing how she responds to those. Not really what I'd call high standard of service or any willingness to improve.

GMOJC, Manager at Our Jungle Camp - Eco Resort, responded to this reviewResponded January 6, 2020

Dear Valued Guest,

Thank you very much for your stay at Our Jungle Camp and taking the time to review your stay, we are sorry that we did not been able to meet your expectations and would like to address some of your objections.

We not only consider ourselves an Eco Resort because we are trying to cut on waste production but rather because we are trying to accomplish a wholesome approach on sustainability practices, this starts from paying our Staff fair and above industry wages as well as training them throughout the year. Towards using only local suppliers who have proven to work aligned with our values and quality criteria. This counts also for our offered Full Day and Overnight Lake Tours which we conduct in collaboration with our sister resort, in reliance on knowledgable guides from the area.

Again we are sorry to not have met your expectations here at Our Jungle Camp, and please be assured that we are constantly trying to improve on all our criteria.

Kind regards,

Mr. Marius

I want to start of by saying this is definitely an experience and will not suit everyone. We stayed in a Paddy Bungalow for 2 nights last week and it really is picturesque. The bungalows are a very cool concept and we’re spacious and clean. They have thought of extras to make things more comfortable like a mosquito net and Incense to keep the mosquitos away. The camp is beautiful and has lots of organic farm areas with a mountain backdrop it really is stunning.

The paddy bungalow is very open to the elements, mosquitos and other insects can easily get in (hence why I’m saying it wouldn’t suit anyone) I had two large beetles in my suitcase at one point but this is part of being at nature! The fan is really powerful and we didn’t miss not having air con at all.

Our double bed was actually two single beds pushed together with two single sheets as a duvet which I personally didn’t like, even having a double sheet would have been nice.

We did the full day lake tour and it was good, the lake is beautiful and well worth seeing if in the area. Worth noting that all of the prices at our jungle camp don’t include VAT so things end up being more expensive in the end. The tour included a lovely lunch and really was a full day we were exhausted by the end of it!

The restaurant here is great, all of the food we had was exceptional. I would highly recommend eating there!

Wonderful stay! Loved the food and the bungalows are very nice. The staff are all helpful and very accommodating. Highly recommend using the inner tubes to float down the river where you can see lots of monkeys. So so pretty.

It was fantastic! The staff is really nice and the service...wow!I recommend the cooking class and Thai massage. The restaurant's food also very tasty. They have their own organic farm!#OJC. I recommend this to all the couples, families, and solos who don't mind having the fun of their lives and enjoy nature. I am usually a picky person, but this is just a paradise oasis.

This eco-resort is beautiful. The setting is picturesque, clean, and beautifully maintained. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My family stayed in the bungalows and found them to be simple but comfortable and clean.
