Stopped off here, for a drink on the way home. Car park was small and packed but we manage to find a space. Inside likewise was packed with standing room only. We were served drinks very quickly and we managed to get a table! No sandwich prevision only roast meals but that could be just a Sunday thing. Would happily call back on another occasion!

We stayed here last weekend as a quick get away under canvas. Basic but good camping facilities, toilets, shower, boot room with kettle. Great little pub with good food and drink and a lovely atmosphere. An hours walk along the river to Hay. Really nice.

Just over an hours walk from Hay on a rainy day, we were hoping to find a little pub with decent beer and proper pub food, and The Radnor Arms was perfect. On a weekday lunchtime there were still enough people to give it a nice atmosphere, the food was amazing with an extensive choice of fresh fish specials. There was only 1 ale on tap (Butty Bach) at the time of our visit, but from the display of pump labels behind the bar it looked like there is also usually a guest beer. Highly recommended, will definitely go back.

This pub offers a wide range of food, at reasonable prices. Portions are generous. I had Sea Bass from the specials board with ginger and lime with fresh vegetables on my first visit, after sharing a scallops starter with my husband. He had a very tender rump steak, with hand cut chips. On our second visit I had the saddle of lamb which was so tender, and he had a burger, which was by no means a second best to other mains on the menu. The desserts looked amazing, if only I had room! Add to this good local beer and a reasonable wine list, this pub has it all. Friendly helpful staff. booking is advised!

We had avoided this pub because of its past history - but we called in while walking from Hay to Glasbury. It is a delight, proper unspoilt pub serving excellent value real food, and the garden is lovely with views of the Black Mountains. We will be back.
