This is a fabulous Hotel and Spa. Our only complaint is that as a honeymooning couple, there were way too many screaming kids poolside. Unlike other 5 star properties, this hotel does not have a children's pool/area. Concierge and all the service was fantastic. They can find you anything you want, and will go the extra mile. There have been several raves here for Mauricio, the funny thing is that there are 4 Mauricios and they are ALL great! We were primarily helped by Nicholas, who is fantastic... He was great at problem solving and has excellent suggestions, so that we could do everything we wanted.

This is a nice, luxury resort. It has everyhing you would expect from that. A private beach you can walk to with ocean access; a lovely pool area; helpful staff; free internet; good restaurants.

We were there pre-season so we couldn't take advantage of the beach and not everything was open unfortunately. However, the room has nice and large with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The service was helpful. Food was good. Unlike Argentina, you pay for what you get here, but you also get what you pay for.

We took a side trip from BA to Punta Del Este this past January-and it was by far the best four days spent on the trip. It was relaxing and fun, not as hustle and bustle as our last days in Buenos Aires. The service and help of the staff was exceptional. We have experience staying at the Four Season and Ritz-and the staff was just as accomodating. It is off the beaten path in La Barra, and I would think when Punta Del Este is not at it's peak season, and it could be a lonely hotel in the middle of no where-but during the summer it was far from the case. A quick little car ride (free of charge from the hotel), would get you to La Barra for dinner and a night out. A previous review is correct-it is much more for a younger crowd (my party being in our mid 20s), and we never even made it to the city of Punta Del Este. La Barra was too relaxing, and Mantra had us sucked in to it's tranquil environment. One night we sat on our porch and watched a run way show that was going on around the pool-it seemed the whole town was there watching it-everyone dressed nice...it was so fun to watch. If I head to Argentina again, I will most definitely be staying at Mantra again.

The crowd staying there was multi-diverse...everyone was from everywhere. I think I used the pool more than I have used a pool anywhere else. It was the perfect temperature. The restuarant by the pool was also a great place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the sun.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your comments.

We are so glad to know that you had a wonderful stay at Mantra.

We have recently invested in landscaping and we are regularly taking care of the gardens surrounding the hotel.
