I stayed here with my children three weeks ago for four nights. We're not package holiday types and prefer places more cultured and as far removed from 'british holiday culture' as possible!! Le Conquet is most certainly that. We flew from Birmingham to Brest Brittany with Flybe for a very reasonabe price and then took the airport shuttle bus, and then the number 10 bus which took us all the way to Le Conquet. It takes about half an hour. The hotel is in the very heart of the village and is very quaint and chic. I shared a room with my daughter on the first floor which was very 'rustic' looking and my boys shared a room opposite that had cabin beds and a nautical theme. My eldest son said, the matress was the most comfortable matress he had ever slept on!
The rooms were cleaned daily to a good standard. The breakfast was lovely (although expensive) and the staff were very friendly.
There is a beach not far away that is absolutely stunning called le blanc sablon (or something like that). It really is something spectacular. We also walked all the way along the coastal path to le pointe st matheiu to the lighthouse and went to the top. The views were amazing and we visited the ruins of the old abbey next to it.
The weather wasn't fantastic. A very similar climate to the UK. Sunshine and showers basically, but if you are looking for a short break, a short flight and a change of scenery, with easy access (don't need a car) then I would highly recommend le conquet and in paricular this hotel.
