Lovely farm house in a great farm, very pleasant owners. The best place to get out into the countryside, especially in spring. We had the chance to see the farming experts help the birth of a lamb and bottle fed one that needed extra care. Spacious rooms with views to die for! Good breakfast to gear you up for a day out in the Fresh air.

Perfect location for short breaks or family tours.
Lovely house and absolutely helpful family. Was a real pleasure to choose this farm.
Anyway seeing all the rewards for the breakfast i was expecting for some really extra but it wasn't.
I would recommend this farm to anybody who would stay in a quiet and reliable place.

myself and my mother stayed here at lee farm from thursday 4th to saturday 6th of april 2013.we shared the twin room named heather,we had a look at the other two rooms for guests and they look fine but i think heather is the best room, its a large room, with two windows and a good en suite with shower, toilet and sink.there is a tea/coffee tray and fresh milk outside the room in the fridge, also bottled local water.the room is tastefully decorated and has nice bedding and curtains etc there is a lcd tv on the wall so you can watch it while you sit on/in bed.a really good touch is the electric blanket on your bed! the landlady/farm owner susan gave us a nice welcome when we arrived and made us a pot of coffee with cake.the breakfast is very nice,i wouldnt say they were the best brakfasts ive eaten at a guest house but still very good, theres fresh fruit and also sliced fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, fresh home made bread, toast, tea or coffee, and cooked breakfast with thick tasty bacon!and free range eggs.the only three negatives i would say about staying here are,its fairly remote but this can be good too as its very quiet and relaxing.also the roads to get here/leave here are very potholed and there are some fords to cross, its not too bad driving in daylight but we didnt dare drive at night on these roads.the other negative is i couldnt get a mobile signal but again this could be a plus point as you dont get annoying texts and calls.value i think its a little overpriced £42.50 per person per night sharing a room,so it cost us £170.00 for two nights thats pricey, think susan needs to re think on the room rates.lovely stay though.very clean too.roger clarke harrogate april 2013

Lees Farm is off the beaten track and all the better for it. A picture-postcard farm surrounded by unspoilt countryside and stock-filled fields.

Your host Susan is welcoming and hospitable. For example, we were offered drinks and cake/biscuits on our return each evening. She has perfected both 'B's' in the B&B with a spotlessly clean and comfortable bedroom and a hearty breakfast featuring well-cooked fresh local food.

Our room was perfect for our family of four - which includes two children of 4&6. The dedicated guest lounge and dining room are as well decorated, furnished and maintained as your own home. The roaring fire was very welcome as the Easter weather was unkindly cold.

The farm is yours to explore and the kids had great fun exploring as well as seeing and handling the livestock.

From Lees Farm you are well placed to explore the major attractions Northumberland has to offer including Alnwick, coast and main National Trust properties.

Lee farm is situated in a wonderful rural area near beautiful towns and villages like Rothbury. The people are very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast is fantastic and rooms are lovely and cosy. In lambing season you get the brilliant oppurtunity to help the farmers and look after and deliver lambs which is an incredible experience. You can do this during the day or help with the night shift which is very exciting. Service was perfect and rooms were always clean and tea and coffee always available.

The warm welcome, large and comfy bedroom and the peace and quiet all made Lee Farm a delightful place to stay. Susan made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable and the smell of freshly baked bread followed by a delicious breakfast made a great start to the day.
Walking round the lovely area was easy and it was very handy for Cragside and Rothbury, Alnwick and other many other places which Susan told us about. There were also plenty of good, well-priced places to eat.
We'd highly recommend it.

We have just returned from from our second superb stay at the lovely Lee Farm. It's situated in a spectacular countryside location but close enough to reach local towns and attractions easily. The accommodation provided is excellent as is the welcome from Susan. She goes out of her way to make sure all guests needs are met - even to providing Calpol for one of my daughters! Susan will recommend and book local restaurants for you - nothing is too much trouble. We returned from a meal out on a chillly November evening to find a roaring log fire waiting for us in the lounge which was absolute bliss. We have stayed in several farms across the region and I can honestly say that the breakfasts at Lee Farm are quite simply the best! Our girls loved playing with the dogs and helping Susan see to the horses. They can't wait to go back in the spring for lambing and hopefully see Tiggy's pups as well. This is a wonderful place for a break, I can't recommend it highly enough. Nicola S.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent.
