“Perfection by the sea”
Reviewed July 9, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Anchor Cottage is really lovely, as are the owners. They have converted this fishing cottage into a beautiful holiday let. I have stayed in many holiday cottages and this is truly excellent, nothing has been forgotten and the situation next to the sea is to die for! Sunset and sunrise and a never ending changing coastal scene is perfect for a relaxing break. The beach a minutes walk is fabulous too, but shhhhhh please keep it to yourself :)

What a wonderful review - thank you so much. We're glad you loved the cottage, and 'discovered' the peace and beauty of Druridge Bay, as we did a few years ago ! We'd be delighted to welcome you back again.

“Perfect it was our dream cottage”
Reviewed June 23, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

The cottage was immaculate everything required was provided first class quality. The location was at the end of a lovely beach suitable for long walks with a country park accessible a few yards inland. Further up the coast the beautiful bamburgh beach and castle with free parking across the road plus the best scotch pies I've ever tasted from cappers butcher's a short walk into the village. Finally sit on the cottage bench 10 yards from the cottage on the sea wall taking in the lovely view out to sea.

“Perfect weekend”
Reviewed June 3, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

We spent a long weekend at anchor cottage for my wife's birthday. The cottage is really lovely and has been renovated to a very high standard. The owners were very helpful before our arrival and had ensured information was available to us on both the workings of things within the cottage and what was available in the local area. The location could hardly be better, a beautiful view out to sea from both the kitchen and bedrooms windows, right on the coast and we spent many hours strolling along the beach. The log fire was very warm and cosy during the evenings. This rental is highly recommended

We're delighted that your long weekend at the cottage proved to be a great birthday treat for your wife. What about coming back for your birthday ? What better way to celebrate than a long walk on Druridge Bay beach, followed by putting your feet up in front of the fire. Thanks very much for your kind and thoughtful review.

Glad you enjoyed some of the beautiful attractions in the locality. The village of Craster, Dunstanburgh Castle and Howick Hall are some of our favourites. Whatever you do on your days out, Anchor Cottage is a comfortable and homely place to return to after a day out! Thanks for your lovely review.

“A wee bit of luxury on the Northumberland Coast”
Reviewed March 5, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

This is a beautifully decorated and spacious cottage within throwing distance of the beach. We spent a few nights here in March and we weren't disappointed. The location is quiet and if you like long walks on the beach then perfect.
We would definitely recommend this place, communication before getting their was excellent.
We love visiting Northumberland and now we have found a perfect base for future visits.

We couldn't agree more; there's nothing better than a long, long walk on the beach, followed by putting your feet up in front of the log-burner ! Many thanks for this great review, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Anchor Cottage.
